Q-Bam Historical Map Thread

Are there any maps that show the world just before the Arabs started their conquests outside of the Arabian peninsula? I would very much like to try to see how the nations of the world would develop without their influence, and I don't have the time to search in this thread.

What date would you use?

That's a tough one. I might use a map from 628 following the Byzantine-Sassanian war. Of course, I would have to imagine that Mohammed never existed, or that he had been defeated, or that he had believed that the Arabs should stay in the Arabian Peninsula to weather out the apocalypse and never expand.

So basically, a map from 629 a.D.

It would be wonderful to have a map of Byzantine-Sassanian war

Anyway, do you think a world map of 16th century exists ? I think we should have a map of the empire of Charles V and the other for Philip II of Spain

I made a set of historical patches for Mexico, starting with independence
I probably messed something up somewhere, but I tried my best and think it turned out pretty good

This is excellent work. For the life of me, I can't figure out why in 1847-1848 Mexico reverted to Spain's map color of goldenrod. It couldn't've been because Spain reannexed Mexico that year, that much I'm sure of. What does the brief color change signify?

on THICC, this yellow (lighter than the one used for Spain) is for the Mexican Empire, with the pink being for Republican Mexico. The first two yellow Mexicos are for the empire of Augustin de Iturbide, and the second group are for the second empire under Maximilian von Habsburg (Maximiliano de Habsburgo in Spanish)

Patched the Hudson-Arctic Continental Divide. Didn't really knew wether to post it here or in the Borderpool thread, oh well, I think it'll be slightly more useful here. Edit: The map had some glitched pixels.

-Internals for Mysore, Hyderabad, Kalat, and Kashmir

Here's my attempt at showing the Districts & Sub-Districts of Mandatory Palestine, circa 1945.
