Pyrrhus, King of Egypt.

Pyrrhus was said to have been VERY favored by Ptolemy, even being regarded as a sort of adoptive son despite the fact that Ptolemy already had sons (Pyrrhus would name his own son, Ptolemy. Ptolemic Egypt would repeatedly bankroll Pyrrhus' usurption of Epirus and other campaigns against the other sucessors of Alexandria. What if something happens to Ptolemy's sons? What if they die in battle or disease or murder or are never born? I wonder if Ptolemy and a faction of the court could install Pyrrhus as Ptolemy's Sucessor. If so then the Sucessor Wars and Pyrrhus' own fortunes would change drastically.

Pyrrhus' ASB levels of terrible luck would ensure his failure at ruling Egypt, just like he got screwed over at every turn IOTL.

Maybe instead of marrying Ptolemy's step-daughter and then grand-daughter, he marries a daughter and seizes the throne when his fahter-in-law dies, eliminating his brothers-in-law, perhaps sharing the Ptolemaic empire with Keraunus (ie, Pyrrhus keeps Egypt, Keraunus gets Aegean, Cilicia, Cyprus, etc).

Well, he probably still would get embroiled in Greece and Macedon as much given his link to Epirus.

Maybe he's been removed from the throne, sought refuge in Egypt, sees an opportunity and takes it? Probably planning to use Egypt as a base for an empire spanning the whole eastern Med but eventually consolidating and settling down.

That's what happened OTL. The first part. Except he didn't need to rule Egypt, Ptolemy saw him as a son.
