Purple Strain: Prince Lives Collaboration.

Chanhassen, Minnesota 2015.

Prosecutor Eric J. Braaten has issued a warrant for Prince Roger Nelson of Chanhassen, MN. According to Xcel energy, the Upper Midwests' electric company, Prince's power usage was abnormally high. Repeated visits by the Carver County Sheriff's office were met with cold shoulders. So Judge Braaten issued a search warrant on Paisley Park.

Sheriffs found a hydroponic marijuana garden that was described by one sheriff as "larger than the Como Zoo's conservatory".

Prince was arrested and charged with an intent to distribute marijuana.

Prince made no bones about hydroponic garden. Against the advice of his lawyers, he spoke to the media about why he posessed so much marijuana.

"I am going through a lot of pain right now. Few people know this, but I've had repeated hip surgeries. The pain was so bad that I had an opioid addiction. Nobody knew about this either. But I weened myself off of them and I switched over to pot. Pot was only thing that's managing my pain is cannabis. And so far, it's working. It's wrong and immoral for the state of Minnesota and the government of the United States to keep a medicine like this illegal. I will proudly go to jail if it means that the need for medical marijuana is brought to the attention of the general public. I'd rather live a life of pain in jail than be addicted to an opioid again."

Prince faces the consequences of his actions. After admitting that he used marijuana, the church leadership in his Kingdom Hall excommunicates him from the organization. Lawyers are also telling him that he's likely to see 8 years in jail for the amount of marijuana he possessed, although there is a chance that the jury will simply nullify his conviction based on his celebrity status.

More to come.

April 20th, 2015. After a short trial, Prince Roger Nelson is surprisingly set free via jury nullification. The jury decides that Prince's vast amount of marijuana for his own personal use and not for his own distribution. Therefore, the law against distribution does not apply to him.

Prince then goes public about his "disfellowshipping" (Excommunication).

"I am holding this public press conference to state that I will no longer attend Jehovah's Witness related events. I hereby end my affiliation with the Jehovah's Witnesses, even as an excommunicated member"

Prince is no longer a Jehovah's Witness. He is now free to sing about whatever he wants to sing about.

June 5th, 2015. Prince heads back into the studio to write material for his new album, expected to come out in the summer of 2017. The album's working title is "Push it in Harder".

Classic Prince is back.

Well, now that he's no longer a Witness, he still needs to deal with his hips, and as much as I hate to do this to the Purple One...

August 13, 2016.

Breaking News. In a story that is eerily similar to the 2014 accident involving comedian Tracy Morgan, Prince and his entourage were involved in an automobile accident when their SUV was stuck by a semi. Prince's driver and friend and frequent collaborator, Morris Day of the Times were pronounced dead at the scene while Prince was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he is now in stable condition after suffering a broken left leg, hip and multiple broken ribs.

Initial reports from former friends and co-workers of the semi driver that said he was a frequent abuser of medical opiods were quickly denied by the semi driver's family.

In this timeline, Prince is a huge pothead. He wouldn't have a need for opiods because he's smoking lots and lots of weed. Hence the title "Purple Strain".

Rochester, MN

Semi-truck driver Luke Ali was found with marijuana paraphernalia on his body. He was also in possession of "moon rocks", or highly resinous compacted nuggets of marijuana leaves. Bloodwork was ordered on Prince at the infamous Mayo Clinic in Rochester by the Olmstead County Sheriff's Office. The musician had a THC level twice as high as the level required for intoxication.

Prince was charged by the Olmstead County Sheriff's department with felony possession of marijuana and two counts of 3rd degree murder for the death of Luke Ali and Morris Day.

I was trying to get him completely away from the idea of painkillers through the death of a friend as a result of them, and force him to get the surgery he wouldn't get because of his beliefs on surgery as a Jehovah's Witness.

And as a bonus, give him the loss and recovery from the surgery as material to work with.

One nitpick, I'm a former Jehovah's Witness. They don't prohibit, or even discourage, getting medical attention when it's needed. That includes getting surgery. The only medical procedure they prohibit is accepting a blood transfusion. And literally every surgery performed today can be done without one.

I'm not trying to belittle or anything. The prohibition on transfusions and the risk one might be needed during the surgery was always the rumored reason why Prince never got hip replacement surgery.

Didn't think you were. Just didn't know if you were familiar with their doctrine or not. You'd be surprised what some people think JWs believe. Lol

August 16, 2016.

Production on "Push It In Harder" is halted due to Princes' upcoming possession and 3rd degree murder trial. Prince hires Gloria Allred as his lead attorney for the possession and 3rd degree murder trials.

August 2016: Prince pleads to the judge for the trial to be moved from Rochester, MN to either Minneapolis or Saint Paul, citing more diversity in Hennepin and Ramsey counties.

The motion is still in limbo.

I'll try my best here, but this is admittingly some stuff out of my expertise.

September 1 2016: After weeks of debaing and the motion in limbo, the case against Prince is eventually dropped.

September 2016: Prince puts the finishing touches on "Push It In Harder" to be released soon.

((Should he still go to surgery?))

The surgery is successful. However, Prince has to delay the production of "Push it in Harder" for 6 months.

He leaks a demo of the title track on his website. It crashes the servers within 3 minutes.
