.Taking inspiration from the great timeline by Marco Incognito. I have decided to go throughout history from 1900 to now to create a new world of pop culture. I will be limiting the timeline to things I know about or enjoy, so there will not be any anime involved in this timeline. But everything else should be open season to be reshaped in a way I like. From doctor who to super sentai. I will do my best to update this as frequently as I can but unlike my America timeline this story is not yet complete so updates will come as I write them. I will try shy away from politics in this timeline since that's why I have my other timelines. However on that note feel free to leave any suggestions, request's or questions. I will always answer every comment.

National Action Comics

National Action Comics

Pulp writer Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson founded National Allied Publications in 1934. In 1935 the company published New Fun; it was important for being the first comic book to feature brand new material rather then material from a newspaper. Heavily in debt, Wheeler-Nicholson could not afford to run the company alone so he turned to distributors Harry Donenfeld and Jack Liebowitz. Together the three founded Detective comic Inc. in 1937. Nicholson could not afford to pay his debts however and soon faced banishment from the company. An agreement was made that would see Nicholson lose control of his portion of the company but he would remain on as a writer for the company, going on to work for the company until his death in 1965.

Two sets of key writers began to work for DC during this time. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, soon to be known for creating Superman began working on New Fun in October 1935 while Bob Kane and Bill Finger began to work on detective comics in march of 1937. Two hits would follow that would propel the company into a golden age. In June 1938 Superman debuted in Action Comics #1 followed by Batman less than a year later in Detective Comics #27. By the early 1940s Superman, and Batman titles each regularly sold in the range of 1.5 million copies per month. Fawcett Comics was formed around 1939 and would end up as DC's original competitor.

The company doing successfully moved to introduce new heroes throughout 1940. The flash (Jay Garrick) , Hawkman(Carter Hall), Doctor Fate, Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Atom (Al Pratt), Red Tornado (Ma Hunkel). The first team up followed made up of these new characters plus superman and batman titled the Justice Society of America. 1941 introduced new memember who would join the JSOA Including Hawkgirl (Shiera Sanders Hall), Plastic Man, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Wonder and Woman (Diana Prince). These comics would all have a different feel to them and with the focus no longer being detective comics the company was renamed National Action Comics at the start of 1943.

National Action Comics would continue making comics throughout world war two, with the holy trinity of batman, superman and wonder women battling Nazis and Japanese forces alike. The slow arrival of new characters such as Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, the flash (Barry Alan), batwomen (Kathy Kane) Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) led to the resurgence of comics in the late 1950s after a dull following world war two. A second justice league was established with these new characters. To expand into a younger audience the teen titans (following former sidekicks) was published for the first time in 1963. As the 1970s dawned new characters gained new people Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Hawkman (Katar Hol, 2nd ver), The Atom (Ray Palmer, 2nd ver.

The Comic universe expanded into other universes as well such as the 1965 series focusing on the surviving heroes battling it out in a post atomic war, a 1966 series beginning a Victorian era setting and the arrival in 1967 of the evil justice leagues. As the 1970s arrived, every comic that had ever been for the company found a way to exist inside the current universe, all having different worlds which became increasingly hard to follow. This would continue for another ten years with universes growing and expanding with over 70 existing by 1979, this at first was liked by fans who could all find something they liked but crossovers and team ups like to confusion among some fans which grew.

By the 1980s, popular perception of the multiverse shifted from being a storytelling tool that allowed for infinite possibilities to an overly complex barrier that kept readers from embracing their stories. This contrasted the Marvel Universe, which had reincorporated Golden Age characters like Captain America and the Sub-Mariner directly into their core universe allowing them to continue on without convoluted plot points, they had different universes but were kept simple and exempt from one another. To Make matters worse 50 years of stories created by hundreds of different people, all of whom are adding something new to the universe and it was a problem that needed to be fixed.

Then came 1983 and Crisis on Infinite Earths. The biggest and most successful exercise in continuity rebooting. The tagline for the series was "Worlds will live, worlds will die and nothing will ever be the same," and for better or for worse, it delivered on all of those. Anti-Monitor, Flash (Barry Allen), Huntress (Helena Wayne), Alexander Luthor, Sr. (Earth-Three), Lois Lane (Earth-Three), Supergirl (Earth-One), Super-Woman, Jimmy Olsen (Earth-One), Lana Lang (Earth-One), Lois Lane (Earth-One), Robin (Earth-Two), Steven Trevor (Earth-One), Steven Trevor (Earth-Two), Superman (Earth-One), Wonder Woman (Earth-One) Wonder Woman (Earth-Two) would all die or be wiped from exitance though this was not the biggest thing to happen during the Crisis.

. The characters of the multiverse were folded into one unified world, leading to characters like Blue Beetle and the Question becoming mainstays of the DC Universe, and the recasting of the Justice Society as the forerunners of the "modern" heroic characters. It was a fresh start for almost everyone -- including Wonder Woman, who was taken out of circulation for a while before a major relaunch and even characters like Batman who were pretty much the same as they were in 1986 as they had been for the past ten years were given an opportunity to start again.

After the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the National Action Comic bible was established. It established a more ridged system following books and movies that pushed characters to grow and develop instead of reverting back to what they once were. Universes where not to cross over unless specified by the head office and any deaths that happened would stick. With one universe established as the main one the comics continued into the 90s and 2000s with older hero’s Dieng of or being replaced in order to keep with the times. To keep these around, the comics returned older characters with stories set in the 1940s allowing characters who had died or retired to return.

Batman

(Dick Grayson, the Current Batman)

Batman is National Action’s most popular and most sold solo comic book. He first appeared in 1939 created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. In the main university continuity, there have been five batmen. Bruce Wayne Is the original batman, he is a wealthy American playboy, philanthropist, and owner of Wayne Enterprises based in Gotham City. The second, third and fourth batmen came during the Kightfall storyline. Jean-Paul Valley claimed the mantle of the second batman, dick Grayson the third and for a short time Alfred. When Bruce Wayne gave his life to stop the joker in a 2007 storyline, dick Grayson became batman again claiming the role of the fifth batman. Over the years Bruce wane’s batman has had aid in the form of sidekick Robin. Dick Grayson was the first robin, he continued on in the role till he left after disagreements with Bruce. He would go on to be nightwing, in that role he led the teen titans. Grayson would eventually go on to become the new permeant batman even after Bruce returned from the other world.

The second robin was Jason Todd. Todd was more reckless than Grayson and would often go to far in his role. Fan reaction to the character was mixed and so the writers chose to do something about it. They gave fans the option to save or kill Jason Todd and so they chose kill. In one of comic’s darkest stories Jason Todd was brutally beaten and then murdered by the joker with batman coming in seconds of saving him. This comic event would weigh heavily on batman’s mind and would allow the writers to explore the aftermath of such a loss and the mental effect. The third and final robin Bruce would have would be Tim Drake. Drake had already figured out the identities of batman, robin and nightwing, he also noticed the shift in batman after Todd’s death. Eventually Tim was able to win batman’s trust and became the third robin. He would remain in the role till 2007 before becoming the new Nightwing after Dick Grayson became batman.

As of 2020, Grayson’s batman has one robin. Stephanie Brown, the on and of again girlfriend of Tim drake had been fighting crime as Spoiler. With her dad a criminal, life was not easy for Stephanie. Eventuately, the new batman in 2009 decided that Stephanie needed further training and adopted her as the new robin. Robin would not be the only heroes to help the batfamily however. There have been two batgirl’s, one batwomen and one batwing. The first batgirl was Barbra Gordon, daughter of James Gordon. She became batgirl after taking up the mantel herself, working for two years independently before being unmasked by dick Grayson. She would eventuately join the batfamily and begun a romance with Grayson. The couple married in the bat family’s first wedding in 1991 but a brutal mind battle against the Riddler in 1992 led to her tragic demise, starting Grayson’s battle with survivor’s guilt. Barbra would eventually return in 2011, as batman pulled her back from the land of the dead upon his return. She would not reclaim her role and would focus on rising her children while also suffering martial problems after being dead for years.

The second batgirl came in 2005. The daughter of Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne, Helena Martha Wayne often found her parents and extended family missing. Forced to live with Alfred, instead. When her mother went missing and Alfred became sick, Helena discovered the truth and became batgirl to save her mother. At sixteen, Helena officially became the second batgirl. She was distant from the rest of the batfamily and often went it alone. She felt indifferent to the loss of her father in 2007. The return of Barbra in 2011 gave her a new mentor and the pair bonded, Helena was also close to batwomen who also acted independently of batman. As of 2020, Helena is still batgirl and has recently come out as asexual to her mother.

Batwomen has also acted independently of batman and has often worked with batgirl, forming a second batfamily. Kate Kane was the cousin of Bruce Wayne and was leading a life of debauchee after being kicked out of the army for homosexuality. After being saved by batman, she vowed to become her own hero and stole tech from the military to become batwomen. Batwomen soon clashed with batman though when bane broke batman’s back and Bruce Wayne vanished, she became head of Wayne enterprises and soon learnt of batman’s secret. Kate has never truly been able to embrace the batfamily however she continued to let them use Wayne enterprises. Her side kick Luke Fox took on the role of batwing after the death of his father
Lucius Fox at the hands of black mask. As of 2020, Luke fox is the head of development as Wayne enterprises using tech to improve his batwing suit while Kate Kane is both head of the company and batwomen who works better with Grayson then she did Bruce.

There is one other person batman is known to work with inside Gotham itself. This is catwomen. There have been two catwomen over the years. Selina Kyle was the original catwomen, her origin has changed a few times over the years but now she is a thief who learned the skills as an orphan to survive. However criminal activities often became side-tracked as she reluctantly helped batman sometimes. The relationship between catwomen and batman was always on and off, with both learning the identity of each other. Catwomen would often evade capture though her charms. An explosive 1989 comic began the storyline of batman and catwomen’s child. Helena Martha Wayne. Selina would struggle leading her life of crime and raising a child before handing the child over to her father vanishing from Gotham. Selina would return in 1997 and would become more an anti-hero. The pair would marry and catwomen would go on to work alongside batman. Sometimes lured back into the villain life. Selina retired from the catwomen role in 2007.

Kimberly harper would be the second catwomen who would come into the role in 2008. A former prostitute, harper one day over heard one of her clients talking big business and in turn was killed for it. Somehow harper survived but her metal state broke. Living alone with cats, she turned to villainy to get revenge on those who wronged her and other women. She adopted the catwomen Monica after reading about the former catwomen. Harper could also be seen by some as an anti-hero but her brutal way of killing those who did wrong put her at odds with batman. In 2010, the former catwomen donned her outfit once more to team up with the new catwomen and a bunch of other female villains and heroes to unfreeze the city caused by Mr freeze. Kimberly and batman (dick Grayson) would begin a toxic relationship which would continue until the return of Barbra Gordon in 2011. As of 2020, Kimberly is still catwomen and is still on her path of villainy while driving a wedge between dick and Barbra. Selina still remains retired has taken up a mentor role for the new teen titans.

There have been just as many villains the batfamily have had to face over the years. The largest and Most deadly would be the joker. The joker began as a common thug committing petty crimes to annoy batman and become rich this would eventually evolve however into the mad man the joker became. The joker was brutal in his attacks on the city and batman though batman would never kill. The joker’s origin was banned from being told in 1975 and so the mystery will always remain. He has presented more of a challenge to Batman over the years than any number of batman’s rouge gallery. He even went as far to kill the second robin (Jason Todd) to get at batman. eventually the joker was joined in his crimes by Dr. Harleen Quinzel who would eventually become Harley Quinn. Quinn would become the joker’s downfall. Treated badly and unfairly by the joker and eventually giving birth to his kids in 1995, drove Quinn into the arms of poison ivy whom she raised her two children with. With the joker learning he was dying in the 2007 storyline he turned to the occult to try fight of death.

In the end the batman and joker would be lost to the other world. The joker and batman would eventuately return to the real world and the joker now healed by his time in the other world would begin a terror campaign against the city though this was not to last. Harley quin, now an anti-hero and rehabilitating criminal would shoot and kill the joker in the 2016 storyline Who Shot joker? As of 2020, the joker is still officially dead though his son has shown violent tendencies like his father. Harley quin is now a member of the birds of prey as her rehabilitation continues. She has no contact with her son who attempted to kill her in 2017 after the reveal she shot the joker dead.

Other main villains for the batfamily include. The Riddler, one of batman’s most deadly foes. His mental capacity and skills have terrorized the city for years. In the 1990s, he learnt of batman’s identity and used it to kill Barbra Gordon. Two-Face, once Bruce Wayne closest friend Harvey Dent the pair had dreamed of cleaning up the city but an acid attack that scarred his face drove him insane and he blamed Bruce. Two-Face is not so much a super villain but more a mob-boss who is completely obsessed with the number "2," duality, and fate. His mob empire fears him and is often in battle with another mob boss in the city. Dent’s fall into madness is one event that has weighed heavily upon batman over the years and is considered one of his greatest failures.

The second mob boss was an orphaned disfigured child names Oswald coblepot who was forced to watch his parents and his brother grow up happily. Despite attempts to live a normal life, he turned to crime and became the penguin. The second mob boss in the city and one that often wages war on dent. He sometimes gives Batman information in exchange for shorter sentences and to eliminate rivals. He has no intention of ever reforming and actively enjoys the crime life going as far to kill his parents and driving his brother insane. That brother would become the second scarecrow. The first scarecrow was professor Jonathan Crane, an insane scientist and psychiatrist who specialized in the nature of fear. When his work was denied approval, he turned to crime to continue his experiment’s. His most well-known weapon is Fear Gas, which he uses to induce hallucinations in anyone exposed to it of what they fear most. His fear toxin has allowed him to be one of the closest to break Batman psychologically. At the end of the Arkham Rising Storyline in 2004, Crane was introduced to his own fear toxin and driven insane, ending his reign as the scarecrow.

The second scarecrow also uses fear to get his own way but not for experiments. A bright mind driven insane by the murder of his parents. Jason copplepot turned to drug smuggling and uses it to control his criminal empire. After stealing some fear toxin after the events of Arkham Rising Storyline, Jason became the new scarecrow, starting his drug trafficking empire, using fear toxin to wipe out rivals. The penguin often works with batman to disrupt the scarecrow’s schemes. The scarecrow has killed of the penguin’s wife in retaliation for him killing their parents. Another scientist also became a villain. Pamela Lillian Isley, a former student of advanced botanical biochemistry, a promising future student. When she over-heard her professor selling environmental secrets to bigger companies and when she turned down his advances, he attempted to kill her. This would lead to the creation of poison ivy.

Ivy possesses the ability to control/manipulate all plant life and has an immunity to all known poisons and toxins. She is often fanatical about defending plants from humans, even being willing to murder for her beliefs. She also has a love/hate relationship with Batman. Sometimes she functions as an ally to the caped crusader and sometimes a foe. Her strongest relationship is her one with Harley Quin. The pair would begun dating in the 90s and would remain so until 2004. During the Arkham Rising Storyline in 2004, Ivy would give her life to cleanse the city and has not yet returned though the pod she left behind is continued to be cared for by quin in hopes she will return one day.

The last major villain for batman is Mister Freeze. There have been two. The most famous Is Dr. Victor Fries. He was was formerly a scientist and is an expert on cryonics and had a partnership with Wayne enterprises. However, his wife soon fell ill and so to find a cure for her put her into cryopreserve. However, an accident involving the security of the building caused his body to function only below freezing point, requiring him to wear a special self-contained refrigeration suit. The first freeze was no villain and only wanted to help his wife. At the end of the Frozen City storyline in 2010, after working with batman (dick Grayson), Victor talks with his wife and accepts their fate. A one-shot comic after the event follows there final days and death. The second Mr Freeze, a rich spoilt child named Peter Russo was bored with his life and so broke into a Wayne enterprises disused factory where batman was holding freeze’s suit and the chemicals that turned him.

Peter, after a fight with his friends would be consumed by the chemicals and would become the new Mr Freeze. With no goal to save his wife like the original, peter seaked to have pleasure and fun like he had not had before. He also sought to become richer and smarter while getting revenge on the poor for clogging up the city. Unlike the original Mr freeze, peter is a big foe that batman (dick Grayson) has to face with little to no chance of redemption or teaming up. Other minor villains for batman include The Mad Hatter, bane, hush, killer croc, man-bat, clay face, dead shot and death stroke.

Superman

(Calvin Ellis: The Current Superman)
Superman is National Action’s second most popular character and sold comic. The character was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. There have been three supermen. The original Superman was born on the planet Krypton and was given the name Kal-El at birth. Moments before his home planet was destroyed, he was sent to earth on a spacecraft where he grew up with farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent who named him Clark Kent. As he grew. Clark developed various superhuman abilities and decided to use them for the betterment of the people becoming superman. Clark would remain superman for years and though the end of the multiverse but his end would come ten years after his marriage to louis and three years after his son was born. In 1995, Clark Kent died fighting doomsday. The second superman would be Conner Kent, superboy and clone of superman. He would remain superman throughout the 1990s but struggled to live up to Clark and fight of the other supermen contenders. In 2001, the event * Kryptonite Rain* began giving birth to the third and current superman. Calvin Ellis, an African-American senator and hopeful president candidate one day is infected with Platinum Kryptonite as are others. After Conner Kent dies to stop the Kryptonite rain, Ellis took up the role.

Superman has not acted alone however. He has always had a superfamily to help him. The first of those would be the first Supergirl. Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin from Argo City was also sent her to Earth to watch over superman but her rocket too longer and so she arrived later. She trained under superman and became Supergirl for many years. Eventually when superman died, it affected her greatly and for a time she left earth and gave up the Supergirl name. when she returned, she took up the new identity of Power Women. Kara now older, more mature, and more level-headed with a more aggressive fighting style. The second Supergirl would also hail from Krypton. Kidnaped by brainiac, Thendasa Klan-Bek originally fought against the superheroes under his influence in 2002 but was eventually saved by Calvin Ellis and took onboard as Supergirl.

Superman has also been aided by two superboys. The original was a clone created by lex Luther named Conner Kent. A crossbreed of human and kyrtopian DNA he however was saved by superman and raised as his brother. Eventually , he became superboy as he tackled with the revelation of his creation and his powers while also learning to be human. Kent would eventually go on to become superman and would perish during the Kryptonite Rain event. The next superboy was the son of superman and Lois lane. He was born three years prior to the death of Clark Kent and was named Jonathan Samuel Kent. The death of his father spurred his power growth and so he came under the watchful eye of the justice league and Conner Kent. At the age of thirteen, in order to live up to his father’s legacy he became superboy under Calvin Ellis. Conner Kent was able to return to the living world as of 2020, brought back by batman who was trying to bring back Clark. He is currently working alongside power women as power man. Calvin Ellis is training up Jonathan Samuel Kent to be the next superman as he questions his future as superman and optional president candidate.

There has been and still is only one superwoman. Lois lane was the on and of again romance interest for Clark Kent and superman. She could never choose which one she liked more. Eventually , she discovered the identity of superman and began to date Clark/superman properly. They married and had one child before his death. Her and Jimmy Olson’s reporting on superman’s death earned her the premotion she longed for and after leaving her child in the care of Clark’s parents took up the role of reporting stories across the world. It was during this time that reporting a story in England, she came across Platinum Kryptonite during the Kryptonite rain story and gained superpowers. Still battling grief from the death of superman, she took up the role of super women. Lois is now still a reporter as of 2020 traveling the world with Olson reporting on stories and stopping crime. She has also begun to date current superman Calvin Ellis as they bond over their powers and how they both got them.

There have and are other smaller hero’s helping the superfamily out. John Henry Irons became the hero steel after superman’s death to try replace him. He eventually began to work with the superfamily and became his own hero using a high-tech, mechanized suit of Armor to fight. There is also Krypto the Super dog who was Clark’s shapeshifting pet from krypton which took on the appearance of a dog on earth and gained powers just like Kal-el. Recently, Krypto got trapped in a human form and has taken up the hero name the wanderer. Dick Grayson also for a time worked with superman after a falling out with batman, it is here he gamed the name nightwing.

Superman’s villains are not as well known as batman. But there some of them that stand out. Lex Luthor is superman’s main foe. A businessman and scientist, Lex wants power and wants rid of superman. A former friend of Clark Kent, the pair become foes later on in life. Luthor has no special powers, except maybe his exceptional genius intellect, which he uses to formulate plans of destruction towards Superman and sometimes Metropolis. Luthor would be extremely affected by the death of superman and would begin to mend his ways, becoming more and more of a good guy as the 2000s went on. When Darkside invaded in 2018, Luthor would eventually end up giving up his own life to seal the invasion force into another universe though messages from that universe confirm that Luthor may still be alive.

General Zod had attempted to overthrow Krypton society and had been imprisoned in the phantom zone. He escaped the phantom zone and the destruction of the planet and made his way to earth. For years, Zod and superman would fight over earth and attempts to bring Krypton back. eventually Zod teamed up with Luthor and claimed mars as new krypton, dragging doomsday to earth in the process. Doomsday would kill superman just after superman killed it but this had no effect on Zod. Zod would be one of the casualties when Darkside invaded in 2018. He died defending new Krypton (mars) and warned earth of the coming invasion.

The other main villain of superman is Brainiac. Brainiac wants to consume all information in the universe and collect every city. He has attempted to invade earth three times but has been foiled in each attempt by superman and the justice league. It is later revealed that Brainiac captured some Krypton cities and for a short time superman worked with zod to free them and seed them on mars. His parents however were not safe. Brainiac would eventually be permanently defeated by superman (Calvin Ellis) and superwomen though a fight that nearly killed them both. It ended with Brainiac being tapped inside a computer forced to help superman though recent hints that Brainiac may still be a villain are noticed. Other superfamily villains include different versions of parasite, bizzarro superman, robot superman, Toyman, The Atomic Skull and Metallo.

Wally West is the nephew of both Iris West and Barry Allen, by marriage and at the age of ten got caught in a freak reactor explosion which killed all nearby but him and granted him super powers. He soon became kid flash and worked closely with Barry Alan.

Wally West found Bart Allen to be arrogant and no longer wanted to be a side kick, to this end he took up the name impulse though he still works with the current flash. The most current Kid Flash is Jack Cobra. A young 13-year-old child who died, had his life saved by Bart Allen but in the process gave her speed powers. Coming to terms with meeting Barry Alan in the speed force and facing death himself, Cobra soon took up the mantle of kid flash and began training with Bart to understand what he had been though. Aquaman

Aquaman_Vol_8_48_Textless_Variant.jpg

(Arthur Curry: The Current Aquaman )
Aquaman (Arthur Curry) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by National Action. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in More Fun Comics #73 (Nov. 1941). There have been two main versions of Aquaman, separated mainly by there tone. The original from the 1940s to the 1970s was known as Richard (no last name ever given) and for the most part his story lines where more comical. The character was considered the joke hero and the weakest and so in 1971, Richard Cury was supposedly killed off in an uprising by new character titled ocean master. A year later and the second Aquaman arrived. The new aqua man was born to Queen Atlanna and King Richard, when ocean master took over Queen Atlanna handed over to a lighthouse keeper who raised the boy and named him Arthur Curry. eventually his father went missing and curry though this found out his true origin. Though reluctant at first, Arthur took the former king’s trident and defeated ocean master reclaiming Atlantis, his right full throne and the title of aquaman.

Aquaman has a few trusted advisors and sidekicks to help him rule Atlantis and protect it from sea and land threats. The first of these is Mera. Mera had become close to Arthur the moment he arrived in Atlantis and the pair bonded. She helped him adapt to his new life and powers. eventually in 1988 the pair would marry. Mera would become a villain for a short time after ocean master killed their first child by Black Manta. In her rage she and Aquaman would kill Black Manta’s family starting a long feud. After Mera’s breakdown, it was confirmed she could no longer birth children because of the fight against black manta. They would go on to adopt black manta’s son.

The key formula for Aquaman would be stability so there would be few changes in characters. However, one that did change was Aqualad but only once unlike others. The first Aqualad was the heir to the Atlantis throne named. He was the adopted son of Black Manta who did not want to be evil like his father but instead become a hero. Trained by Mera mostly and working alongside Aquaman, the first Aqualad did his best to shun away from his father’s villainy. eventually Garth outgrew his role and his adopted father bestowed him the new title of Tempest. The second and current Aqualad is Kaldur'ahm also named Jackson Hyde. Hyde had been give up to adoptive parents on land just like Arthur had been and had been told to stay away from the sea. While raining, Jackson is seen outside his house where he displays for the first time his abilities. After this ocean master and black manta attacked and killed the boy’s family for unknown resson.

It Is later revealed to Jackson that he is the former Aquaman and king. For resson unknown, the gods had given the kings spirt another body but the transfer had gone wrong and the king had laid dormant inside Jackson giving him powers like Aquaman. Jackson was given a choice to unlock those memories or remain the same. He chose to never unlock those memories and instead became Aqualad working alongside the Atlanteans to fight against those who had killed him in the first place. In 2006, the dormant Richard attempted to take control over Jackson’s body but was soon locked deeper in Jackson’s mind by an atlanan ritual. He however is still there and still gives Jackson messages to this day. There is and has been only one Aquagirl. Known as Tula she was adopted by one of the royal families of Atlantis and given the title Princess of Poseidonis. She was kept in hiding till ocean master was overthrown and afterword began a close friendship and then dating with the heir to the throne (Garth). Her abilities as a fighter soon saw her gain the rank of Aquagirl and to this day she works with tempest to patrol the seas on behalf of Aquaman.

Aquaman has two main villains with his main priority being running the kingdom and keeping it safe from man. The first is Ocean Master. Orm Marius born from king Richard and another women who was not the queen. They soon found his life in disarray when his father had them outcasted from the main city. Growing up hating his father, he returned and took the throne in a violent battle. Ocean master would rule for years until aquaman (his half-brother) returned and took the throne himself. Now ocean master works to return himself to the throne at one point in 1988, he invaded land and attempted to incite a war between human and Atlantis. Ocean Master is often joined by black Mantra. Mantra is a human but his lethal high-tech suit allows him to survive underwater and adapt to any number of situations with an arsenal of destructive weaponry. Despite his prominence in the Aquaman comics, Manta remains an enigmatic figure, his identity and his origins kept secret. He holds a grudge against Aquaman for the death of his family after mantra killed his son. Other villains include Fisherman,King Shark, Karshon, Charybdis, Admiral Strom and Siren.

(Diana Prince: The Current Wonder Women)
Wonder Woman is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by National Action Comics. The character first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in October 1941 with her first feature in Sensation Comics #1 in January 1942. There has only ever been one wonder women and that is Princess Diana of Themyscira who goes by the name of Diana Prince when living in the world outside her homeland. Despite there being only one wonder women, her story can be split up into two halves’. The first half of her run was set upon the backdrop of world war two and the early cold war. She went to man’s land after a pilot named Steve Trevor crash landed onto it and he needed a guide home. She would take up the mantle of protector of man despite knowing she could never return home if she did. She fought battles in world war two and the cold war that followed for America.

Villains and side kicks where limited in this era. The main focus was on battling domestic and foreign foes such as the Nazis, Japanese, soviets and spies. She had two recurring villains however who did often appear. Baroness Paula von Gunther, she was a high-ranking Nazi hell bent on capturing wonder women and creating an army of pure blood aryans for the Nazis. This villain would fall out of popularity post world war two and so was killed of after wonder women saved her daughter but redemption came too late and Paula von Gunther died. The second villain was Princess Maru also known as Doctor Poison. A captured Japanese scientist working for the soviets, she was a master of toxins and poisons. She also happened to be the first costumed supervillain Wonder Woman ever encountered.

In this world war two to early cold war era, wonder women worked mostly alone though some allies did appear. The first was Steve Trevor. He was the resson wonder women had come to man’s world and was very much there to help her though her time in man’s world. He began working at U.S. Military Intelligence alongside Wonder Woman in her secret identity. His filtrating with wonder women and would they wont they romance was answered in 1953 when Trevor declared his love for his secuutray Etta Candy and the pair soon had children together. Etta would be close friends with wonder women throughout their time with Etta helping Diana adapted to the social normalities of life in 1950s america. By 1955, it was decided that wonder women needed an equal and so Hercules entered the scene.

The Greek gods had been present in wonder women’s history before but never as a large focus. In 1955 that changed. They made their appearance known and soon the revelation that wonder women was Zeus daughter shocked her life. The Greek gods where not all to please with the way man was going and did not believe wonder women was up to the task so they bestowed earth with another demi-god hero Hercules. At first both Hercules and wonder women did not get on. she had mellowed during her time in man’s land but Hercules was arrogant and brash. Soon however the pair would realise that the Greek god’s where plotting and in 1964. Ares (the god of war made his first appearance). Hercules and wonder women would come to work together over the years stopping spies, soviets, area and Doctor Poison This way of doing wonder women comics however could not last. The desire for comic books based on fighting soviets was dying of as tensions in the cold war cooled off. The stories themselves had become formulaic and fans desires for different things led to a drop in sales. By the 1980s, wonder women comics became fewer and fewer. With Crisis on Infinite Earths, now was the time for a big final for wonder women and so the Olympus fallen event began.

The Olympus fallen event would save the prime earth’s wonder women from the Crisis but would change her life forever. Ares plans a full-frontal assault on earth working with Hades to consume all. With wonder women fighting doctor passion in Siberia, Hercules went in alone and would become the first causality. His power consumed by Ares who had by now broken the chains that bound his power imprinted by Zeus. Doctor Poison was the next to die, wonder women wanted to save her from die but Doctor Poison chose to die instead. Wonder women soon learned that Hades had risen an army of the dead and soon earth was under attack. Steve Trevor would be the next to die, piloting his plane into a ship piloted by Hades sending them both to the underworld. Ares was not yet done however and took on the Greek gods in Olympus with the battle threatening to spill out onto earth. With no faith left in humanity after how they acted during recent events, Wonder defeats Ares with a high cost. She and Ares are both consumed by a white light and Olympus is closed of from man again, sealed away.

When the wonder women comics returned after Crisis on Infinite Earths, wonder women was no where to be seen. Different allies to wonder women however would take her place. There have been three wonder girls. The first was Donna Troy. She partook in an Amazonian event akin to the Olympics to gain the right to be a new hero for man in a new age. Troy would win and go on to become wonder girl. The title wonder women were not used, she was considered a hero by man and monuments had been erected in man’s land and Amazonia. Troy after only a short time as wonder girl would take up the hero’s name Agent Amazonia and would begun to work for the US government. The second wonder girl would the granddaughter of Etta candy, only 13 Casandra *Cassie* candy often wanted to hear stories about her grandfather but the truth was never revealed. Eventually though school she learned the story of wonder women and discovered that Etta still had some of wonder women’s weapons.

As a sing of friendship wonder women had crafted her a pair of bracelets, they where not as powerful as her own but they were strong. Alongside that was the lasso of truth and the shield. Cassie would soon adopt the title of wonder girl after learning of her father and would eventually work alongside Agent Amazonia. The Amazonians where not all to please the new wonder girl and so bestowed a child of their own, Yara Flor as the new wonder girl. Yara Flor had lived in the amazon rainforest, the second home of the amazons. The two-wonder girls would eventually fight it out with Flor winning. Flor would remain wonder girl while Cassie gave up her weapons to be stored in a museum. On her way home from Amazonia however, in the first of a few strange events. Cassie’s boat was stuck by a deadly storm and soon Cassie herself was struck by lightning. Cassie soon discovered she had gained power over the elements and soon became a hero herself known as Cyclone.

By 1989, it was time for wonder women to return to the real world and take her place in the new era but to do that she would have to escape the world of the god’s. the wonder women event *in the eyes of the gods* would show how much chaos the Greek gold world was now in. Zeus was missing, Aphrodite,Apollo,Artemis,Athena and Poseidon had retreated into their own kingdoms and the other god’s had corrupted and vengeful. In order to escape wonder women must explore her mind, the past, present and future while also vanquishing Dionysus,Hestia,Achlys,Erebus and Perses on behalf of Zeus. Working alongside Perseus, Theseus, Kratos and Achilles alongside allies such as Poseidon and Aphrodite, wonder women was able to complete her task and alongside Perseus, Theseus, Kratos and Achilles where granted the right to return to the normal world. For a time, Perseus, Theseus, Kratos and Achilles would live on Amazonia before becoming hero’s themselves known as the Olympian Squadron. Wonder women and Zeuz would have had a heart to heart where he bestowed her the return of all her powers and allowed her to return to earth before sealing of the god world.

Upon her return to earth, wonder women assumed her old name of Princess Diana of Themyscira or Diana Prince in man’s land. She is no longer forbidden from traveling home and often does so. Though at first struggling to adapt again, Diana began a close friendship with wonder girl, Cyclone and Agent Amazonia. She re-joined the justice league and soon faced new threats. Priscilla Rich was a rich socialite and enjoyed the high life though suffered from dissociative identity disorder. When an event featuring wonder, women went south and Priscilla was made to look bad her inferiority complex sparked. She set out to find a way to become powerful to stop wonder women but soon found herself cursed and transformed into a cheetah becoming one of wonder women’s greatest foes. The granddaughter of Doctor Poison in anger of learning about wonder women’s return was caught in a freak lab accident and bound to a high tech suit that pumped chemicals she needed to live, she sought revenge against wonder women for the death of grandmother. Ares would also soon break free from the god world as well.

Though the Ares’s that escaped was a changed man. During his years of living in the void between the god world and earth, shown that Ares came to live a dark and isolated existence without the humanity that he wished to destroy though he was no good guy he relied on smaller villains to terrorize wonder women though happened to help her on occasions when it was necessary. At one during the Return of Geekdom, Ares and wonder women worked together to take down a power mad Zeus who planned to wipe out humanity and seed it with demi-gods. Ares did try take the throne himself but was stopped by Poseidon and Aquaman with Hera taking the throne of Olympia and ending its isolation from man’s world. With the return of Olympia brought about the return of Hercules.

Hercules and wonder women both shared their stories about there time in the god world and facing death itself. They soon bonded and with his powers more akin to that of wonder women Hercules took up the human name Henry Lee Carter and the superhero name Wonderman. He eventually fell in love and married wonder women. They could not have children after spending so long in the god so the queen of Amazonia crafted them a child named Zeek after Zeus. That child would grow extra fast and trained by wonder women and wonder man, he soon became wonder boy. All of them fighting as a family against main foes and other foes such as Giganta,Queen Clea, Zara, Medusa and Queen of Fables.

(The Current Green lantern's: Alan Scott, Hal Jordon, Jessica Cruz, john Stewart and Kyle Rayner)
Green Lantern is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by National Action. The Character was created by Martin Nodell, first appearing in the comic book All-American Comics #16, published in 1940. The first green lantern was Alan Scott. Scott was a more earth-bound character who gained the ring after a lantern came to him while he was working as railway engineer, he soon learnt how to craft a ring and became the first green lantern. While batman, superman and other heroes often faced named villains Scott did not. In fact, many elements that would come to be a key part of the lantern mythos where missing. Instead, Scott faced common criminals and had a large part in aiding against natural distracts or other problems such as train crashes. The Lantern was deemed to have slowed Scott’s ageing and allowed him to live on in his own comic book even as times shifted to favour space. When space became popular, a new hero was created to take up the green mantle. But unlike batman or superman, two Lanterns could exist at the same time.

Hal Jordan was to be the next green lantern. In 1959, the Green Lantern Corps made themselves known to Scott for the first time. When asked to become a guardian of earth and a section of space, sect refused. So, the corps turned to find another, leaving Scott with his ring for he had crafted it himself. Hal had been kicked out of the military for assaulting an officer, and was reduced to an engineer giving planes tune-ups. When testing a plane led to it crashing and Hal nearly dying, a ring sought him out and chose him saving him from death and allowing him to become the green lantern. Hal was trained by Thaal Sinestro and they became close friends. For a time, they went from planet to planet solving crime. Hal eventually discovered Sinestro had enslaved Korugar using his ring. Choseing between friendship, his duty to the green lanterns and galactic law. He attacked Sinestro and turned him in to the Corps, earning Sinestro's lifelong enmity. Sinestro would soon break fee and become a yellow lantern and a long-time foe of the green lantern corps. At various points Hal fought Evil Star, Black Hand and Hector Hammond.

Eventual, Hal was sent back to earth to capture the green arrow (who Hal knew as Oliver queen) for murder and theft. The pair went on a road trip together across america and explored themes such as power, racism, sexism, and exploitation. Hal could not bring himself to arrest his friend and in an unexpected twist, quit his role as green lantern and left to return to civilian life. The lantern corps (and the writers) needed a new green lantern of earth. Hal Jorden would soon after be killed by Sinestro and would become in death a member of the Black Lantern Corps and a villain to the green lantern corps. Soon the rising crime rate meant the green lantern corps needed a new hero. Guy Gardner was once considered by the corps to be the next lantern but his tendencies towards drinking. However, during an earthquake, Gardner was seriously injured in the disaster and the Guardians of the Universe recruited him to be the next green lantern.

Gardner was trained for a few months before being let lose. He was tougher on crime then those that came before him and quickly came down hard on the yellow lantern core. However, Gardner was known to let his past get to him and would often fly into fits of rage. He was arrogant, bashful and sexist. He irritated the justice league causing batman to once threaten to flush him out an airlock without a ring. Despite the lowered crime rate, Gardner slowly but surely became unhinged and began to go after people like his father who used to beat him. The power ring and lantern where striped from Gardner after he killed his father but Gardner would not be without power long his rage and anger where enouth to grant him a red ring and Gardner soon became a red lantern. He did not give in to murder but was no longer bound by the rules of the green lanterns. Gardner is now known as an anti-hero and will sometimes work or fight with other heroes.

Before the search for the night lantern could began, the Lantern wars began which soon spread and consumed parts of the universe. The entire Green Lantern Corps and most of the Guardians of the Universe who oversaw the Corps were killed in the early days of the war. Ganthet, the last surviving Guardian, fled to earth with two rings to find two heroes to take up the mantle to fight the war and to restore the Green Lantern Corps. However, Ganthet would be killed by Hal Jorden and three green lantern rings would fall to earth. The first would fall to John Stewart. Stewart was serveing over sees as an architect when terrorists raided his building and held hostages. Stewart chose to fight and was shot in the process; the ring came to him and he became a lantern and soon after saved the people. The second ring would fall to Kyle Rayner. Rayner was a Kyle Rayner was a struggling-but-gifted freelance graphic artist. One day when a woman was targeted and dragged into an alleyway, Rayner jumped into save her but was fatally stabbed. With Meer seconds left to live, Rayner gained the power of the second green lantern ring and defeated those trying to kill him. The third and final ring fell to Jessica Cruz. A medic from america in Africa, her camp came under attack by Gorlia Godd’s forces and destroyed, Cruz Fought back and was left in a ditch to die before being granted the power of the third ring.

The three soon met and the Lantern war continued then climaxed with the three working together to restore the lantern corp. They redeemed Hal Jordon and he soon re-joined the green lantern corp alongside Alan scot who once refused to join. With the war soon over, they separated. Hal would protect his city and Alan Scott would protect his. Jessica Cruz would become the new recruiter for the green lanterns while john Stewart would become the earth’s protector which allowed him to join the justice league. Kyle Rayner would become the head of the lantern corp and would work to reform the Guardians of the Universe and train new lanterns recruited by Cruz. As of 2020 there have been no more lanterns added. They continue to fight crime and villain’s such as Sinestro, Vandal Savage, Hector Hammond, Larfleeze and Black Hand.

Green Arrow

Green Arrow

(Oliver Queen: The Current Green Arrow)
Green Arrow is a fictional superhero who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Mort Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in November 1941. There is only one green arrow, something the writers chose to do so they could eventually portray an aged hero/anti-hero. His real name is Oliver Jonas Queen, he was once a wealthy businessman and heir of Queen Industries who was also a well-known celebrity in Star City. However, powers in the city moved against him and his father and the boat he was on was sunk. Those who partook in the event took control of queen industries via marriage to his mother and of the city via the position of mayor and government. Oliver was believed dead but he had survived. living on an island alone for a year, Oliver would learn and master the skill of archery to survive before being rescued and returned home.

Oliver’s return home was met with a thousand questions he could not answer and at least three attempts on his life. He soon moved away from the city to live nearby to the forest where he would become the green arrow. With a list he had made over the period of time had been home, Oliver began to hunt down the currpot, the greedy and the villains across the city to try redeem it. He would kill or spare depending on the severity of his crimes. He would also steal from the rich and give back to the poor attempting to mend the damage he had caused before he left. He would eventually be targeted by the green lanterns for arrest but after a trip across america seeing many issues many faced Oliver was let go with his views solidified and his path for vengeance continuing. As he continued however, Oliver’s job became harder and followers increased, he soon realised he needed help in his crusade weather he liked it or not.

The first sidekick Oliver would gain would be Roy Harper who would take on the role of speedy, green arrow’s sidekick. When Roy was kicked out of his home for being gay, Oliver adopted him and soon learnt Roy was skilled with a bow. Roy would soon learn of his adopted father’s secret and would join him in his crusade. However, life was not easy and the killing took a toll on Roy’s mind, driving him to drugs. At first Oliver was not sure how to handle the situation, causing a divide between them. It was Oliver’s girlfriend that helped Roy overcome the addiction but the damage was done and Roy quit the role of being Oliver’s partner and took up the new name Arsenal. Eventually the pair would reconcile and in a Christmas event in 1995, after Oliver had reclaimed his position as head of his company, he granted Roy a new bow and costume and the new name Red Arrow. The second and current speedy would-be Mia Dearden. Abused by her father, Dearden had run away at a young age. She soon fell in love with a man who offered her shelter and food in exchange for exploiting her in his child prostitution ring. She eventually would be saved by Oliver’s queen who would take her in as his second adopted child.

Oliver by now had stoped killing but did not want to make her his sidekick despite comments dropped by his new wife Dinah Laurel Lance (Black Canary). When Dearden was revealed to be HIV positive, Oliver finally relented and after intense training with Red Arrow Dearden became the new speedy. Oliver has kept a close on the current speedy but their partnership works well, they often team up with red arrow to protect the city. Though Oliver has now taken a more back seat approach in order to focus on changing the city via running for mayor so he can make proper changes. One person who has stuck by oliver more then anyone is black canary also known as Dinah Laurel Lance. She had been born into a family of crime fighters. Her father Larry Lance, was a police officer, while her mother (also named Dinah) was the original Black Canary.

Dinah chose to become a crime-fighter at the age of nineteen, a year before Oliver returned and set about trying to clean up the city. The death of her mother only pushed her further and she soon learned that she had the metagene, making her a super-powered metahuman since birth and allowing her to use her Canary Cry. When Oliver returned and the green arrow appeared, Dinah quickly learned who it was and struck up a partnership with the green arrow. There was tension between the partners as the black Canary became a member of the justice league but not Oliver. The pair would soon develop romantic feelings and despite further tensions over Roy they would marry and have one child Connor Queen who is currently under training to be Blue arrow so Oliver can take a more back seat roll.

Green arrow and the arrow family have faced many foes mostly petty criminals, corrupt politicians and greedy business men but there have been some more ruthless one’s to oppose them and continue to oppose them to this day. Most notable is the League of Assassins who uses the cities corruption to run rampant and take part in assassinations on behalf of politicians. The worst of these is business man and archer Malcolm Merlyn who would kill Oliver’s mother and begun a life long feud. In the end Oliver would choose not to save Malcom’s life in a collapsed building something seen by Malcom’s son and Oliver’s friend. Thomas Merlyn would become the next dark archer and member of the League of Assassins bent on getting revenge for his father’s death. Other villain’s include Count Vertigo, cupid, blood rode and catman.

Other Hero’s of National Action Comics

Other Hero’s of National Action Comics

The six main heroes of national action (Batman, Superman, Wonder woman, Aquaman, Green lantern, Green arrow and the Flash) are the most recognised and best-selling comic books for the company. But they are not the only Ones. The company has a plethora of other hero’s that sell decently or are just as recognisable. These hero’s have become more prominent and more well known as animation and video games have come to be but have not yet displaced the main six. The list of eight bellow is some of those hero’s which national action has:

Martian Manhunter: Often combating green arrow in the comic selling ratings. A police detective from mars, J'onn J’onzz was forced to live on earth after his people where all but wiped out. It is here that he took up the name John Jones and became a hero on earth known as Martian Manhunter. Despite being a law enforcer like green lantern and a si-fi based character, Manhunter comics put more a focus on the crime solving and gritty aspect of the nature. His shapeshifting powers allow him to blend in with humans when need be and his telepathy is able to help fight and solve crime. He would eventually gain a side kick in Miss Martian who was believed to be a green Martian but was uncovered to be a white. The pair had to put their people’s past beside them to become a crime fighting force for good, with Miss Martian adopting the name Megan Morse and becoming Jones police partner. Together they do face some villains such as the man who wiped out Martian civilisation (Commander Blanx) a traitor green Martian who killed of the remnants of J’onzz kind (Bel Juz) and a man bent on keeping humanity pure from aliens (The Human Flame).

Booster Gold: After covering all the bases they could find, national action comics turned to time travel as an idea for a hero. Michael Jon Carter (known as booster gold) escaped to the past with high tech gear to become a super-hero after being booted of his football team in 25th-century Gotham City. At first booster gold was an arrogant womanizing hero who believed his information from the future along with his technology made him nearly invulnerable. But after losing his tech in an EMP storm in Asia alongside batman, Carter was forced to change some of his ways but not entirely. Gold would go on to be a founding member of the legends of tomorrow while also becoming close allies with the bat-family. As of 2020 Booster Gold has taken up residence in Clear-River City where he fights crime and works to prevent historical events going wrong while also staring in movies and running his own casino.
Booster-Gold-DC-Comics-Justice-League-Michael-Carter.jpg

Huntress: There have been two prominent Huntress’s in national action comics. The first was a super villain named of Paula Brooks. Oringaly a hero, Brooks turned to a life of crime when she fell in love with her husband though the pair’s relationship would be toxic and they would eventually end up killing each other while facing the new huntress. The second Huntress was Helena Wayne, the cousin of Bruce Wayne. At a young age, she to be a superb athlete and after finishing school, she joined the law firm of Cranston and Grayson, where Dick Grayson was a partner. Helena began crime fighting as the huntress when her mother was killed by her father for still unknown resson. She took up the mantle of huntress and pledged to take down criminals who targeted women. Eventually she would come to blow with the Institution. A group of human traffickers and villains who Helena is hell bent on destroying. The Huntress is located in Steal-Lake City.

Bloodeye (Damian Wayne): Batman for a short while he fought Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins. he met Ra's' daughter Talia al Ghul and brief fling, they conceived a child. Damian Wayne would be born after during the League war. After Ra's al Ghul truly went insane after continued exposure to the Lazarus pit his daughter moved in to take over. When Talia won and decapitated her father in front of her son, she began to modernise the league and turn it into an international assassination agency with her son training to become one. Damian would eventually take on the name bloodeye and would become a master of disguise, sneaking, martial arts and assassination. His comic stories are more adult based hitman like stories. He has no base city and clashes against the many hero’s while not truly being a villain himself. His two main advisories are death stroke (who doesn’t want to lose his title as the best assassin) and batman (Damien’s father seeking to try redeem his son.)

Jonah Hex: Jonah Hex’s comics where a chance for national comics to explore the establishment of certain aspects of the more modern era while also showcasing a bounty hero story. Hex himself was sold into slavery by his father, raised and then abounded by a tribe, served in the civil war on the confederate side before defecting, got betrayed and scared by his tribe. Hex soon became a cynical bounty hunter. Despite his poor reputation and personality, Hex is bound by a personal code of honour to protect and avenge the innocent. He has come into contact with Solomon Wayne, helping him solve crime in Gotham city, including that of Serial killer and local merchant Cyrus gold. Hex has no connection at large to the later modern hero’s though his stories did go into more depth about certain aspects such as Solomon Grundy. As of 2020, a older Hex has come into contact with Jor-El who he is currently working for seeking necessary information.

Zatanna: Zatanna is the daughter of magician Giovanni "John" Zatara who appeared in 1930s-1950s comic books and Sindella, a member of the mystical species Homo magi. In the 1960s, it was decided to change up things and Giovanni was killed, his wife kidnaped and his daughter kidnaped and taken to Paris. It was here that she was nearly sacrificed as a cult offering before activating her own latent magic powers which included eternal youth. Zatanna went on to make her living as a stage illusionist in Europe while investigating the disappearance of her mother. She would also go on to fight the Church of Purity, a anti-magic based organisation. Though that fight she would meet, fall in love and marry fellow magic user John Constantine. She’s also a key founding member of the Justice League: Dark, a European based organisation based more on the occult and magic.
Justice_League_Dark_Futures_End_Vol_1_1_Present_Textless.jpg

John Constantine: With Martian Man hunter being a detective of the si-fi nature, John Constantine was an occult detective though very different form his other detective counterpart. Constantine is a violent man with anti-social tendencies which lead him to get his job done no matter what. Constantine became a magic user after experimenting with spells as a child that led to the burning down of his home and the death of his family. Constantine’s comics are much more mature than others showcasing him fighting all kinds of occult killers (including the spirt of jack the ripper) in portside city In his native home of England. Constantine would eventually study alongside Zatanna in mastering magic and the occult with the pair soon falling in love and marrying. Despite his anti-social tendencies, Constantine has become a key member of the Justice League: Dark.
John-Constantine-Hellblazer-Vertigo-DC-Comics-phil-hale.jpg

Animal Man: Bernhard "Buddy" Baker was a normal young adult living in Greenpoint city in Ireland until one day being in proximity to an exploding spaceship, he gained the ability to temporarily "borrow" the abilities of animals and became the hero known as Animal Man. Balancing superhero life and a job Is not easy and Baker has come to dislike the richer more well-known hero’s such as batman. His main fighting ground is Greenpoint city and sometimes River City in England. Zatanna and Constantine would become allies of Animal man and a trainer of his powers. He would also go on to key member of the Justice League: Dark. Baker has gotten into a few fights with batman causing tension between the two justice leagues of Europe and America.

So, is National Action going to get sold and if so when and to who? I'd prefer the 1960s-1970s? I'd think that AT&T, Motown, Berkshire Hathaway, Kirk Kerkorian, MCA, Matshuitsa, MCA, 20th Century-Fox, Time, Warner Communications, and Unilever could all potential make a bid.

The Justice League’s
The Justice League’s

There have been many iterations of the justice league over the years. One’s with hero’s and others with villains. The league is normally a force for good but sometimes is the opposite. They often come together to fight bigger threats. The most well-known version of the justice league was conceived by writer Gardner Fox during the Silver Age of Comic Books but that was predated by another justice society in the 30s and 40s which still exists today. Listed below are the different versions of the league/society that exist within national action comics:

Justice Society of America: The Justice Society of America was the first team up of national action comics. The team was conceived by editor Sheldon Mayer and writer Gardner Fox during the Golden Age of Comic Books. The JSA first appeared in All Star Comics #3 (Winter 1940–1941), making it the first team of superheroes in comic books. When history was changed in the 1930s, the society remained with the golden age hero’s manning it in world war two. The founding members of the Justice Society of America were Doctor Fate, Hourman, Atom, Flash (Jay Garrick), Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Star-Spangled Kid, Black Canary, Red Tornado and wonder women. Though some of the society members have retired or died, it still lives on though meetings with some of the hero’s going on to join the other leagues.

Justice League of America: The second and most well team is the JLOA, the team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox during the Silver Age of Comic Books as a reimagining of the Golden Age's Justice Society of America. The team focused on protecting America from threats that a solo hero could not handle and eventually came to have a watch tower in space funded by Bruce Wayne. The founding members of the team include consisting of Superman (Clark Kent), Batman (Bruce Wayne), The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Aquaman (Arthur Curry) and Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz) though others have come and gone over the years. Bruce Wayne is no longer batman but he acts as the backing and funding of the league.

Justice League International: The third justice league was at an International level and was written by Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis, with art by Kevin Maguire, created in 1987. In universe the league was created by Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz) who believed the earth needed a league just as much as America did. They too had a place on the watch tower and often had changing members the JLOA though key members of JLI included Green Arrow, Doctor Fate, Booster Gold, Hawkwoman and the original flash Jay Garrick.

Justice League Dark: The fourth justice league was created by Peter Milligan. The team was founded by swamp thing, animal man, John Constantine and Zatanna. The league was formed on the belief that the other teams could not properly fight magic and occult foes, so it became the mission of the JLD to combat the foes the others couldent. The comic books for this team are much more mature than the others. Other members include Deadman, Frankenstein, Nightmare Nurse and Man-Bat.

Injustice League: the fifth league and first villain led team was created by Gardner Fox. Ever more annoyed at the interference of the Justice league and its hero’s, Lex Luthor united villains into the Injustice league to battle the league. Founding members included captain cold, Lex Luthor, scarecrow (Johnathon crane) and cheetah. Lex out-right banned the joker from ever joining because he was considered too unstable. The team have done good but are mostly there for evil intentions and don’t meet as much as the other leagues do.
