Publiic Domain Superheroes!!!

It is an interesting site. I've been going to it for about two years now. I have made some of my Champions-Online characters based off of a few of these supes.

I've decided my personal favorite is Cowboy Sahib.

Reminds me a lot of Saxton Hale from TF2.

If anyone is interested, maybe we should try creating an ATL for these comic book characters. Considering that no one has used these characters, with the exception of Erik Larsen, Warren Ellis and Kurt Busiek in the past 60 years, what would an ATL comic line using these characters be like....

It seems like an interesting idea for a TL. Would it be an ATL with these superheroes running around or an ATL comic world?

It could go either way. Stories could be pastiches to the various styles of comics, from the saccrine stories of the 1950s, the reimagining of characters in the 1960s (e.g. Flash, Green Lantern), the cheesy celebrity cameos of the 1970s (e.g. Mhuammad Ali, Evel Knievel, et al.), the dark and brooding style of the 1980s, the "extreme" storylines of the 1990s, et al.

Much like The Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon, we can also write up a fictional history of the company

It is called Project Superpowers.
I am well aware of that project, but even the powerful Kurt Busiek is not able to cover all public domain comic book characters. The idea is that since there are thousands of potential public domain characters, there are many characters that could be utilized for stories, many who haven't been addressed or discussed...

I think that the idea of the creation of a timeline where the characters were real would be interesting. Care to work on creating a timeline together?
