I read online that in the early 1700’s that Frederick William I of Prussia was given a choice by his father for brides, and that on that list was Ulrika Eleanora of Sweden. That got me thinking about what if he married her instead of Sophia Dorothea of Hanover. Would Prussia and Sweden form a Union and if so what would the consequences be and would it be accepted by the people of Sweden, or would they turn to Charles of Holstein. I’d imagine Frederick william wouldn’t take that lightly however. Thoughts?
