Protestant group in the Balkans

Ah, the Balkans. A place where dozens of ethnicities, multitudes of tongues, and three religious sects- Eastern Orthodoxy, Islam, and Roman Catholicism can come together and kill each other.

So, how could there have been another religious sect- some sort of Protestantism and what kind?

Bonus if you can toss in more sects (Bogomils?) and a militarized Jewish minority.

I don't know how to define what exactly is "Balkan" so use your best judgement. But not Greece, though.

The Transylvania Germans were/are mostly Lutheran, right? So there's already an important Protestant group in the Balkans.

Would there be a way for the Germans' conversion to leap over to their Romanian neighbors?

Calivinist Hungary can be a good start, I think.

Weren't a lot of their protestants more towards the balkans end of the country?
(at least they are on EU, I'm unsure on real history :p)

I suppose the problem with the balkans is you have the Ottomans sitting on it.
Do have protestantism spring up as popular you need corrupt Catholics sitting on the people. And even if we remove the Ottomans it'll be most likely the Orthodox church which is the state religion, not too many catholics about.
I guess you'd need some sort of orthodox protestantism rather than the normal brand.
Surviving corrupt Byzantium?

This is not a problem. It is an opportunity for the Ottomans to try to permanently separate Hungary from the Habsburgs. The Ottomans easily could (did?) support Protestantism within their portion of Hungary. If it becomes Calvinist (present in OTL) or something similar, the Hungarians are not likely to fancy the return of Catholic Habsburg rule.
