Is it possible for the Protestant Bourbons to inherit Aragon instead of it uniting with Castille.
No, since Protestantism didn't exist until after Castile and Aragon had been unified. Also, the Bourbons didn't come to prominence until they became Kings of Navarre in 1550. Any POD that prevents Aragon and Castile from uniting would probably butterfly away the rise of the Bourbons.
Actually, the Crown of Aragon existed until 1716, and in many ways it was administred separately from Castile.
It wasn't until the Bourbons that Spain really became centralised.
but how do you divide the inheritance to get it to separate from castile I'm such a way as that the bourbons inherit it? I.e. the implication is for it not being lost in war etc

I can't see why.Easy. Just have the Lancasters convert to Protestantism and voila.
