i decided to visualize what this would look like
Syria's natural borders, as imagined by the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!
Yeah, that was a small error on my part. Thank you though!
Bulgaria according to the Treaty of San Stefano (1878)
Oh yeah and a while back I made an MBAM of this, though my base map was somewhat different which is obvious here.
GREATEST POSSIBLE FINLAND:
based off of:
Probably my last or second-to-last one:
Proposed borders of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991, including Serbia-Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I didn't quite follow SUCK here, as the purple clashed with the first order internal division:
Not true proposals, but from errors on a globe from '75 in one of my school classrooms
And here we have Japan's ambitions for the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.
First off, really cool map! Although, I think the purpose of the Co-Prosperity Sphere was to be a Pan-Asian organization meant to fend off against western nations (specifically European colonial empires) and, while I heard that the Japanese planned to install a monarch on the throne of an American puppet state, otherwise never really planned to incorporate the US into the Co-Prosperity Sphere, just to end American influence in the Pacific.
Thank you! Yeah, I made this based on some of their other projections. There was some talk of potentially turning the west coast into a puppet state, but this was a long term goal only possible in the event of an axis victory, something even they recognized. There was also talk of taking parts of Mexico, Peru, and Chile should they enter the war against Japan.
I know this isn't necessarily the Request thread but I think this is fitting, and It's not a request to create a map or flag, but locate the Proposal (Propaganda) map of the US post-war RvBomally based their ITPME Cover. I've been unable to track it down using any combination of relevant terms in search engines. Thank y'all in advance!
What sources did you use?
So I recently found a somewhat decent map of the Morgenthau plan...
As you can see, it's tiny, but it allowed me to make a better estimate of what the post-war borders should look like according to Morgenthau. Special attention should be brought to the fact that cities like Kassel, Fulda, Hamburg, and Lübeck were to be part of North Germany and not the International zone.
So here's an updated worlda patch for it.
An attempt at making a worlda version of that 24 States map for Australia I showed off a while back. I'm not the greatest mapper in the world so the borders may be a little off, but I tried to make things look right.
fascinating! any sources on what they would've called some of these? i'm particularly interested in what this West Coast puppet state would've been named
I did a worlda on the Morgenthau Plan because @Iserlohn posted it, before realizing that he made a worlda of it, too.
Speaking of plans proposed at the Yalta Conference that aren't that logical:
The Churchill Plan
