Probability of United States Westward expansion with no New England

There are many timelines out there that have New England seceding in an alt-War of 1812. Decades of Darkness being the most major and influential. Others being British Imperialism in the 19th Century also. My question here is, that if the United states did actually break apart in the 19th century, during the War of 1812, and with the secession of New England, could/would/will the United States still expand towards the pacific and retain control of that territory?

Assuming, of course, that the manifest destiny and also belief in their divine Godly right to control all land in North America is still the same as OTL? Given that the Louisiana purchase territory is already theirs, and also that texas is filling up with Americans, i would presume that they might not go further than the Rio grande? Oregon and California i am not too sure about.

Also, New England consists of the current New England states. New York and New Jersey are bonus', but not necessarily required even if they are predominantly settled by New Englanders.

Southerners still would like a Pacific coast. Andrew Jackson, clearly a southerner if nationalist, was willing to buy up land to San Francisco Bay.

Problem is that the Mexicans refused all offers of selling the territory, of course Polk only exacerbated that

You do realize the mere idea of a NE secession was barely mooted in this era, right?
