Pro-Israel, Pro-West Arab nation?

What if Lebanon ends up partitioned in multiple ways after a different civil war? That way there are the Israel-allied Christian Lebanese state, and then a state for the Alawites after Syria has a civil war as well for some reason?
... The Alawites are to the north of Syria on the Turkish border. Though it'd be more under Turkish influence than the Israelis in opinion, an independent Alawite state might* be possible with specific and decent butterflies.

*I stress the might heavily.

I know they're farther away, just like how a potential independent Hatay would be, but having potentially pro-Israel, non-Arab/Palestinian-aligned states in the region would be significantly different from OTL, regardless of how small they are. Mixes things up a bit.

True.

So we've got Lebanon, Golan and Latakia so far. Not bad. :)

I still think a Kurdistan further north might be in order, but am unsure if there should be a Shia Alawite nation and/or a Hatay one. No Assyria, though.

Kurdistan is too far and useless to attempt. It'd rile up the Turks, the Iranians and the Iraqis while ignoring the nearers threats.

Map of the French Mandates, carved out of Ottoman land, in 1923 - some possibilities here, since the French thought it would be nice to run them as a Federation (now that's a TL waiting to be written, Hash):

A surviving Shah Iran is yet another thing I intend to write.

a thought - the Shah takes refuge in Israel or Lebanon (the latter becomes his kingdom-in-exile, attracting loyalists); and Israel's defense of Lebanon is reciprocated by loyalty/strong alliance on the part of the Shah.

It is unfortunately. Coptics in Egypt are too few to even use to puppet the Sinai, while Lebanon held the small majority of Christians that dominated all facets of governance. Arab Christians in other areas steadily decreased over the years and immigrated to the West where they managed better. Lebanon is the viable option.

Not any more - after emigration during the civil war, what % of Lebanon is Christian? 35% or so, maybe less? Nobody really knows because there hasn't be a national census since the 1940's IIRC. ALso, the Christians aren't a monolith: along with the Maronites, there's Greek Catholics, Greek Orthodox, and Armenians, each with their own politics and interests. The latter was actually allied with Hezbollah in the most recent elections for obscure clan reasons.

The best chance for Lebanon to go this direction would have probably been right after the Armistice Agreement in 1949, when the rhetorical lines weren't so solidified in stone. Either that or Bashir Gemayel surviving the assasination attempt in September, 1982, or butterflying away Amal and Hezbollah's strikes on US Marines in 1983 (which led to the withdrawal of the US-led multinational force, renewed civil war, and ultimately the Syrian-led defeat of the rump pro-Western president, ironically the same person allied with Syria now in Michel Aoun).

that and the OP asks for an Arab nation. while there's argument over whether or not they're Turks, the Kurds definately aren't Arabs.

(unless Leo or his colleagues have evidence to the contrary)

In OTL, modern Turkey and the Shah's Iran both are/were staunch allies of Israel in the Middle East, if not the Arab world. Maybe a Turkish puppet in Syria or an Iranian puppet in Iraq?

This is kind of a hard one, it's something like black-ruled allies of South Africa (IIRC, in OTL they only ever were allies with rebel organizations they funded, like UNITA). It's just so out-of-character for an Arab nation to ally with them, given Israel's OTL behavior, as to be practically ASB.

Maybe if Israel creates a puppet government in Palestine, the aforementioned (Southern) Lebanon, or if it creates a puppet country after one of its wars, "The Republic of the Sinai" for example.
