Prince Charles Killed En Route to Wales.

In 1969 two members of Meibion Glyndŵr accidentally blew themselves up while trying to plant bombs on a railway line on which the Prince of Wales was traveling.

But what if this plan hadn't failed, what if the bomb had succesfully been placed, and as the train passed over the bomb it blew up leading to the death of Prince Charles? Would this Radical Welsh Independence grow in size? Or would people be horrified and the group hunted down?

Personally I think it'd lead to a much more devolved Wales but also lead to the capture of all the movement. Of course now Prince Andrew would be made the Prince of Wales and would be next in line to the throne.

This is only a minor WI but lately I've become very affectionate towards the Welsh, so please discuss.

It'd certainly lead to Welsh Nationalists (moderate and extreme) being taken more seriously. Unfortunately, killing the heir to the throne could well lead to quite a draconian (no Welsh flag pun intended) crackdown by the security services.

Annibyniaeth achos Cymru!
