I was just watching a Daily Show interview with this man (Former Democratic Senator and US Senate Majority Leader) and was astonished at how.. well, likeable he was. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and charismatic, but somehow not intimidating at all.
Okay, history's verdict is that he was pretty ineffective, but as we've seen, it's hard to get anything done in a 51/49 Senate.
Anyways, let's play "make a President". When's his best shot? 2004? Will we have to have an earlier POD to give him a chance?
I think he'd be a better candidate than Kerry. Then again I think a ham sandwich would be a better candidate than Kerry.
