President Clinton, Act II

WI Hillary won the Democratic nomination and or the general election? Would she govern as Obama is now? Would McCain still lose? Hopefully Palin can be replaced, since Hillary is way  out of her league. Maybe Obama gets a cabinet position? What would her cabinet look like?

Well, a lot depends on how the blacks view Obama's loss.If they feel that the black man was cheated by the rich white woman and stay home or even vote McCain in revenge...

McCain crushes.

Palin, first of all, ease up on the trollbait. Palin's resume, at this time is pretty equivalent to Obama's. Or do you want to derail your own OP?

Now considering how McCain tried to exploit femanist resentment over Hillary, I wonder if in this TL he might try a Powell VP pick.

If he could make serious inroads into the black voter block...

Hell, if that were to work, the effects would be enormous!

Sorry, as a Republican myself, I knew she'd be picked when Halperin mentioned her last July on The Page. But the blacks won't be P.O.'d. Minorities are among the most loyal Democrats, the same as the South is for us. If he picks Powell for SecState, we can see a very interesting McCain Presidency. Hillary's problem was a) she thought that it'd be finished by Super Tuesday, therefore completely depleting her funds by March b) not realizing how important caucuses are. I knew after Super Tuesday she wouldn't win. By the time of the RFK gaffe, she was already long gone. The interesting one was a Penn memo in the Atlantic series saying that "he's Jack, you're Bobby". She was actually Hubert , even if she didn't know it.
