anyone can give me an advise,, i would buy some gift to my grandpa. he was born at 1930 and he was army.
i want give special things as a x-mas gift.
Thank you.
I know they do things like "newspapers of the day you were born" and DVDs of the year you were born, both of which are interesting but sometimes not HUGELY relevant, because after all the recipient cannot remember the year they were born.
Maybe a DVD of a series they enjoyed when young? I'm not sure what series were running in 1940s movie theatres, or on 1940s TV? When was King of the Rocket Men? Or Flash Gordon?
If that's not his style, then do you know his service history, unit etc? Many have official histories, and many have less official histories by ex-members, something which would be relevant to his army service?
Best Regards
