Prayers for the Assassin

hey, just go this from the Libary, it's more a FH than a AH, but the premise of the book is intresting, basicly it takes place in 2042 in a US that has been devied into the Islamic Republic of America (same flag, but a yellow crestent in place of the stars and the New Capital being Seattle), the Bible Belt (the old conferacy without VA, Kentucky and southern Florida but with Oklahoma and most of Missouri). Mormon's have Utah and southern Idaho. CA, AZ, NM are IRA's but is under the Mexican sphere of influence. after reading 24 pages what basicly happened was NY and DC were destroyed by suitcase nukes in a plot by Isrealies that was set up too look like muslium terrorist did it, with the Isrealies being implicated the US withdrawls it's protection from Isreal and everything sprials from there, oh yeah and a suitcase dirty bomb is set off in Mecca killing 100,000 ppl. in 2015 a civil war starts between the North (Islamic) and South (Christian) that is more or less convetiual but both sides have nukes. thats what i got so far...has anyone else read it and what do they think of it?

I saw this very book the other day, and read the first few chapters. The map in the front is erroneous, as the author describes Virginia as part of the "Bible Belt" and Kentucky as being disputed. THe premise is interesting, as are some of the ideas, but I don't think it is fully plausible. Furthermore, it's going to be a series.

I saw it at the bookstore. I kept looking for an ASB mention but I never saw one. Short of ASB it seemed pretty much impossible.

yeah i caught that too about Va, and i agree that it's not very plausible but so far it seems a decient read, deffinatly have read worse
