Post WW3 Military novels?

Looking for books in the vein of the old Twilight:2000 role playing games - basically scattered remnants of soldiers fighting to survive the holocaust.

Have, have read, and have enjoyed both books. Neither book has that much military action in it, but what there is tells a powerful story.

I encourage anyone and everyone to read them. Should be available at the library or cheaply on Amazon. Believe reading them would provide a great deal of food for thought.

Thanks for the thought. It's on hiatus right now although I have the next 4 posts somewhere between 50% and 90% completed. The last mile is always the hardest. Hopefully I can regain some momentum.

There's always Philip Wylie's two post nuclear novels, Tomorrow! (1954) and Triumph (1963).

What do you think of Eric G. Swedin's When Angels Wept (2010)? It has the interesting conceit of being a nonfiction memoir by a guy named -- Eric G. Swedin.

If you like a little mystic cross-timeline drift, there's always Brad Ferguson's The World Next Door (1990).

Another Cuban Missile Crisis gone hot novel is Brendan Dubois's Resurrection Day (1999).

It's been a while since I read it, but Resurrection Day is a really good post-WWIII novel. The author put a lot of detail into how the post-WWIII American society operated.
