If a soviet leadership had managed some kind of deal to 'finlandize' Poland I suspect that the Cold War in its otl form might have been prevented.

Who cared about former nazi allies, plus communists did repectably in fair elections in some places.

Now I assumed a more intense de-nazification.

Any risk of something like the Morgenthau plan?

And would 'weirwolves' have happened if the allies were tourgher

Finlandizing Poland does nothing unless it triggers German reunification, which, if Poland is weak and neutral, is borderline ASB.
