Indeed it would.For that matter, James I & VI's wife was a Danish princess, so a 'personal union' could theoretically have occurred (due to some disaster striking Denmark) a generation or two earlier than Anne's time. Charles ["II", by English reckoning] becoming King of Denmark while Britain was still under Cromwell's control would have been an interesting twist...
