Possible Aztecs Pueblo relations ?

What if teh Aztec Empire manages to expand North into Northern America ? How would they treat the civilizations and tribes there ?

Ancient Pueblo peoples were declining from the XIVth onwards, climatic changes possibly being involved among other factors.
You'd notice that Aztecs appeared as a political power in the XVth.

Basically it implies Aztecs (that didn't took a similar interest on communication infrastructure than, say, Incas) manages to zerg-rush northern Mesoamerica and the whole of Aridoamerica in mere decades, and finding the final stage of Pueblo cultures.
An event that is likely to disturb the tradeway for turqoise and shells, for a very dubious result.

Note that while contacts were sporadic, Oasisamerica and Mesoamerica direct relations were a thing since centuries : turquoise was particularily searched for in Mesoamerica, but it was mediated trough Aridoamerican peoples.

It seems, for instance, that Aztecs prelevied a tribute in turquoise or other precious items directly from northern Mesoamerican cities.
Why bother conquering a desert so far of your cores and your resources, when you could recieve them from tributaries cities.

As LSCatilina says, it is unlikely.

Once scenario that I still think is incredibly unlikely is if the Aztecs (for some reason) end up ruling so much of Mesoamerica, that they run out of acceptable people to sacrifice - or if for some reason they have a disinclination to do so with the locals.

This could be a reason to go north, and through a client state, bring in the Pueblo peoples to sacrifice.

Utterly brutal, certainly awful, but it works.

Though in reality, the Aztecs would need to drastically change their form of Empire for this to happen. Conquering their neighbours, truly annexing them, and expanding into modern Texas and Baja California through colonies, perhaps of certain captured communities and Aztecs.

It'd be a huge (HUGE) change to get that going, but I find it preferable to my first idea.
