Pope Boniface VIII confirmed Charles II's decision

Pope Boniface VIII confirmed King Charles II of Naples' decision so that Charles' grandson, Charles Robert (the future King Charles I of Hungary) could not succeed to the throne of Naples.
Suppose Pope Boniface VIII does not confirm Charles II's decision? What happens then?

Then Charles I of Hungary becomes King Charles III of Naples with his uncle Robert going down in history as the Unlce of the King, while Hungary goes into the hands of Wenceslaus III of Bohemia, son of Wenceslaus II of Bohemia marries Elizabeth, the sole daughter of Andrew III of Hungary.

This creats the union of Hungary Bohemia and Croatia and the royal house of Přemyslid becoming a prominent family in Europe.

Correction, it is Poland-Bohemia-Hungary-Croatia.

Yeah because a similar union went SO well OTL. The union between Hungary and Poland fell to pieces fairly quickly, so chances are the same would happen here. Maybe we'd see different branches on the thrones, but not a full union.

I took out the Poland claim as this had been disputed like the Hungarian claim, so I believed that Wenceslaus II of Bohemia was just laying claims to any near by nations he had a single relation to.
Where as now with the marriage of Elizabeth, he had a stronger claim to Hungary, so would hope fully cut out the silly idea of uniting with Poland.

Exactly, I have never felt that Poland could ever rise to it full potential due to who its neighbours had been.

A Bohemia-Hungary-Croatia is a much safer bet.

I think the war between the Silesian Piasts and Mazovian Piasts the will continue along with the Polish branch of the Premyslids(the children of Elisabeth Richeza and Wenceslaus II) for the control of Poland for centuries, if ever Wenceslaus III gives up his claims to Poland.
