Pop-Culture WI: MCU's Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter were Netflix originals

What would happen if the MCU's Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter were Netflix originals rather than being broadcast on ABC? What would the plot be like, what about cast changes?

I personally think the shows would be more darker. Through not sure if they would have the same casts. I also think Agent Ward would have been more sympathetic as a villain too considering William Fisk, through he still would not have been redeemed. He would possibly be a Thrawn or Rommel like figure for HYDRA rather than what we got.

AOS would probably have tighter writing. It took half a season for it to find it's legs, but that is pretty quick for Whedon. Both Buffy and Angel had weak first seasons. The first half of the season for AOS had it's moments but it lacked focus until the grander plot showed itself at about the half way point. Even then I don't think it has quite hit the quality level that it could.

Agent Carter would be broader in it's scope. It seems to be largely a one trick horse about a strong woman working in the sexist post war era. Better male characters would help, it seemed like 80% of the people she worked with were half-wits. Clueless to her working with a higher authority, fine, holding outdated stereotypes, also fine it was part of the era, but they were disappointingly dopey.
