So, the most unpopular lore character in World of Warcraft is dying soon and I would like to take the time to wonder..........what if the Garrosh supporters "won"?

In Cataclysm the character started gaining a fanbase from casual fans and because of some actions he did in Stonetalon and the fact that most novels and short stories try to portray him sympathetically. However, Metzen caved to his haters and it's heavily implied that he hated Garrosh in the first place and so did some of the developers--for every quest where he is a badass, there is one where he is his usual douchy self, so they set him up as the final boss for the next expansion.

So what if....a higher up from Blizzard or Activision is pro Garrosh and decides to fire Chris Metzen and marginalize most of the anti-Garrosh developers from the Warcraft team after it's leaked that Metzen wants to dispose of Garrosh as soon as possible. Metzen is replaced by someone who is either Pro-Garrosh or can handle the Alliance-Horde conflict in a grey area. What happens?

Here's what I think happens: Warcraft lore gets more better, probably not stable but better, the fans do not stop bitching about horde or alliance bias, some people will quit the game, MoP never happens or Varian and Garrosh are both the final bosses but are portrayed more ambiguously instead of "VARIAN AND THRALL GUD! GARROSH EVULZ!". If this pop cultural shift hits political concensus, expect politics to shift more rightwards.

So what do you think happens?
