I've been watching the old Digimon(my childhood nostaligia!) recently because they're back on YT and I want to watch as much of them before they're taken down! And I wonder..................................
Suppose the writing team of the original Digimon series got their act together instead of degenerating into infighting and resignations and causing the series to stagnate, and after the Emperor Arc of the original series they pick up on Episode 2x13 of Season 2 of the original series, which would have set up the next plotline after the Emperor Arc had the writing team not destroyed themselves. As a result, the series quickly asserts itself and avoids many of the pitfalls it stumbles into.
What happens? Will there be a epilogue? Will there be a Season 3 in the old timeline? Will Tamers still happen? I for one believe there will be a season 3 with the Seven Demon Lords, and no epilogue(or it is moved to the end of S3), and Tamers will be season 4, but still an AU instead of set in the main timeline as they're probably gonna follow the Gundam model---the writer of episode 2x13 DID Tamers and he was praised for this episode, so if they follow his lead, he would have power to write his own season). Probably no Frontier and the series never devolves into "Transformers ripoff"(sorry Xros Wars fans!).
What do you think?
