Pop Culture What If: A Successful Live-Action TV Series Influenced By Anime

This is a little thought experiment I had while watching Yu Yu Hakusho and thinking about the special effects of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. What if there is a live-action TV show inspired by successful anime cartoon shows (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, to name a few)? Is it possible the show can be able to use anime animation elements (you know when anime characters fall over when dumbfounded, people's eyes change depending on the mood, or lines or shapes to signify commotion, all that stuff you know of that can only come from anime) and still look good? How will it influence TV shows, anime, and so forth?

POD: Post 2000 because technology is more appropriately adequate from that point on.

Well, Pacific Rim was heavily influenced by Japanese mecha anime. I see no reason why a live action Pacific Rim TV series shouldn't be possible and highly successful.

I think a qualification I'm looking here as well would also be transferring anime animation elements into live-action. Is Scott Pilgrim a good example of this and if not what else actually followed that path?

It already happened. All of these examples have been made after 2000:

For the sake of things remakes don't count.
