Pop-culture of the Kaiserreich

From my Kaiserreich a TL
The "Italian" actor Ciro Bosco in Rome promoting Sergio Leone western "Per un pugno di dollari" (For a Fistful of Dollars)
Leone gambling high to produce a Western during hot phase of the Phoney War (USA vs German Empire)
In order to convincing the Germans investors, the Producer Grimaldi and Leone became creative,
After Henry Fonda, James Coburn and Charles Bronson refused or were not allow to leave the USA.
They found in England a Young American Actor Clinton Eastwood, who „became“ the Italian actor Ciro Bosco in order to work in Europe.
Not the only one allot people from Hollywood worked under Italian names in Cinecittà

For a Fistful of Dollars was enormous success for Leone, Bosco and Ennio Morricone
A Western with brutality in combination with sarcastic Ironic Humour was praised by European critics as a social critic on American way of life.
In USA were critics more controversial label the Movie as piece of German Propaganda
Sergio Leone made other Western: the Noboby Trilogy, Nobody after the hero who had no name.

For a Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Good the Bad and Ugly

Why did some one make a Syndicalist version of Star Wars? Unless the syndicalists conquer the Pacific States of America, there's no way that is possible, as George Lucas was born in Modesto, CA, so he would be from the Pacific States of America.

OTL George Lucas made Star Wars as anti authoritarian propaganda, if he lived under an authoritarian regime himself(assuming he kept the same views) I could totally see him moving to the syndicalist states and making the movies there based on his experiences

Would Olympic movies like Chariots of Fire or Cool Runnings be any different?

I like to imagine how Sonic the Hedgehog would be in this universe as well, there's a surprisingly amount of thought put into him

Sonic the Knight 2 features the beloved golden peaches-collecting Sega mascot once again fighting the forces of the german scientist Doctor Ivo Julian Roboternizsche, who continuously pursues his ambition of a mechanical empire at the expense of nature(the comics expands further upon this, revealing he overthrew princess Sally's father, the Yellow Emperor, before taking over the Central Kingdom of Mobius), now with the help of the rookie kitsune Tails and a new form obtained by collecting the seven Chaos Sabers called "Excalibur Sonic" heavily inspired by the anime Saint Seiya
The sequel just like the original takes place in Sun Island and retains the original's gameplay of fast paced spin attacks and swords swings, but now adds the move "spin dash" which allows Sonic to charge a spinning sword attack before shooting himself into the direction the player is pointing towards.

Sonic C-Night is a expansion of Sonic the Knight 2 made using the brand new Lock-On technology for the Sega CD
It features 7 new levels taking place in the Small Planet, a completely animated musical opening and the use of time travel during the levels with each level having both a past and two different futures(good and bad) that can be entered depending on if the player destroyed the Metal Sonic statue in the past or has collected the Chaos Sabers in the new alien-esque special stages
And speaking of Metal Sonic, he's the game's new star being both one of the two final bosses in the Death Egg Zone where you can race him(or in Stardust Speedway if you failed to get the Chaos Sabers) to save the kidnapped Sally Rabbit and a unlockable character once the player beats the game while having made a Good Future

Chariots of Fire could be about a German Olympic athlete. Cool Runnings could happen in another Latin American/Caribbean country or even in Sub-Saharan Africa. I doubt that OTL versions about Britain or Jamaica would be made.

In my headcannon, Germany is the center for military video games.

Title card of Wolfstone 3D developed by Klasse Spielzeug software. The game was originally released in 1990 on arcade and later ported to MS-DOS in 1992. The game was inspired by the 1981 video game Wolfstone Tower and is the third instalment in the Wolfstone series. The player takes to role of German commando Elite Hans during the Second Weltkrieg, as he escapes from the Wolfstone Tower in Union of Britain and carries out a series of daring missions for Germany. Wolfstone 3D was a critical and commercial success and is widely considered to be one the greatest video games ever made. It has been termed the grandfather of first-person shooters.

Would the International make similar games?

Definitely. I also imagine that there would be much more oversight on video games depending how centralized the government in question is. Like, a Totalist regime would have to meet strict moral and political requirements for it to be approved. While more liberal regimes would have something like the ESRB that is a government agency rather than a self-regulating organization.

They'd probably be shoot'em ups about brave Syndicalist agents/heroes shooting their way through capitalists and imperialists

Raumfahrer Rolf is one of many alter egos of Calvin in the newspaper comic Calvin and Hobbes (1985-1995). In his tenth anniversary book, Bill Watterson explains the character of Rolf originated from a homework assignment from his German class in which an astronaut gets eaten by a monster. After college, Watterson submitted Raumfahrer Rolf to the newspaper syndicates but was rejected. In this early incarnation, Raumfahrer Rolf was a diminutive loudmouth (not unlike Calvin) with a Charlie Chaplin moustache, flying goggles and a cigar. He had a dimwitted assistant named Dummkopf and together they roamed space in a dirigible, crash-landing on planets and battling space monsters.

Years later when he created Calvin and Hobbes, he brought the character back. The character of Rolf drew inspiration from Watterson’s interest in the space race as well as TV shows like Flash Gordon and Weltraumforscher. From it’s over the top narrations peppered with faux German to the grand space opera adventures. Watterson says that while limited in narrative potential, they were still very fun to draw.
