Anyone got any ideas of what Hogan's Heroes would be like in KR?

What do you guys think Sliders would be like in a KRTL?

In Sliders they tried to avoid the most common AH´s, like "nazis win" and "Southern win". So I think, there will be nothing about WKII and 2ACW.

I just thought of an idea for a KR version Hogan's Heroes:

Have it set during WK2 in a Russian POW and have Colonel Hogan and Klink work together if barely.

Any ideas for sitcoms in the German Empire?

one would be this german classic "Eine Herz und eine Seele"
The show reflects the life of a bourgeois family in German Wattenscheid,
Special Alfred Tetzlaff a grouser with controversial views on Socialism and Politics, made him a cult figure in Germany

Another cult classic sitcoms is "Familie Hesselbachs" and there spinoffs.
one of first multimedia series, started as Radio-play, then TV series and four movies
They gain as TV series a audience rating of 93% and as Episode was on TV, the streets were empty in Germany

Absolut top and my favorite german sitcom "Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht"
over the top ironic and funny trials of Royal Bavarian District Court before WW1
made by Bavarians in Bavarian dialect

for Comedy sitcom Loriot who prove we germans are funny - in "The picture is hanging crooked"

Or maybe the historical context of The Sound of Music would be a family fleeing the main villain (fleeing Savinkhovist Russia?)

Or better yet... Assuming that the Kaiserreich losses to the French Communards (Or evenually manages to push them back, but still having parts of the coutry occupied by Internationale forces at some point), have the story about a family of nobles that finds themselves trapped behind enemy lines, the Communards expropriating their ancestral home, and forced them to perform propaganda songs or be purged as 'class enemies'. Hence, the family must fleeing from the evil syndicalists into neutral Austria.

Has to be an aristocratic family? The rich and privileged members of society won't elicit much sympathy from the common movie watcher, much more preferable if it was just some random family not too interested in Syndicalism and decides to get out.

Besides, forcing them to sing propaganda songs? The communards aren't exactly Stalinist, and seems a bit too extreme in this case.

The OTL "The Sound of Music" was about the family of a wealthy retired naval officer from an aristocratic background, and most of the audience seemed to find them relatable and likeable enough to emotionally invest in the story. Also, just think of all the OTL movies and stories about members of the aristocracy and the royalty, such as.... Oh, I don't know, 1997's "Anastasia", which was about a princess escaping the execution of her family at the hands of revolutionaries? With the right story and charaterization, movie watchers from OTL clearly seem to be able to sympathise with a protagonists even if he/she belongs to a higher social-economic class compared to themselves.

As for the part about this being 'too extreme', keep in mind that:

(1) I am envisioning the movie as being produced in-universe by either a German Empire that ultimately managed to emerged victorious in the Second Weltkrieg, or a monarchist Austria-Hungary that one way or another managed to stay together as a monarchy. Both of which obviously have an incentive to demonize the communards and portray them as negatively as possible.

(2) You consider the syndies forcing a family of singers to perform propaganda song too be 'too extreme' for them? For the record, the following is the word-by-word event text for the COF if they decide to balkanize Germany after winning WK2:

'The new government in Berlin is firmly under our control and northeast Germany is now a loyal member of the Internationale. Many Junker have found their just punishment in the people's court. May their bodies, now hanging from the trees and telegraph poles, be a warning to all reactionaries!'

These are the same people that engages in acts of cultural desecration by publicly dynamiting the Brandenburg Gate while singing the Internationale, and burning down the Royal Palace of Madrid after looting the place when they take the Spanish capital. Dragging a bunch of 'reactionary class enemies' (Which the Von Trapps family most certainly count as) in front of a stage and force them to sing propaganda songs is absolutely the type of thing they would do.

Just saw this movie today

Do you think Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries would exist in Entente Australasia? Or even Syndicalist Australasia?
I first wanted to say yes, but then I realiized sexy Miss Fisher is a bit to frivolous leftwing for the Entente and to rich for the Syndies.
Maybe, if the Syndie win, it can be reimagined as a hardboiled drama about a heroic RED-spy, infiltrating australian society under the mask of an decadent exile.

That could work.;)

Would the other characters be any different? I'd imagine Detective Jack Robinson being an honest cop who's become a little cynical to Entente hypocrisy. Dot and Hugh would still be adorable together

If I look on comparable spy series in East Germany and USSR, then I´m afraid, that heroic "Kundschafter für den Frieden" don´t have flirtious relationships with the class enemy.
