Pop culture of the early 00's under Gore

I suppose, although New Labour was mainly brought down by the recession no?

A shining era of left-neoliberalism from the 90s to the collapse of the global economy is the general idea I have.

In that case, a closer parallel would be Bush wins in an upset in 1992 before the Democrats come roaring back in 1996. The Democrats win a second White House term in 2000, a third in 2004, but then lose in a landslide in 2008.

Here's a great DBWI TL by @TheAllTimeGreatest that covers this very scenario: https://www.alternatehistory.com/fo...ge-h-w-bush-loses-re-election-in-1992.448205/

- What would Green Day sing about?

- Would reality tv and Paris Hilton still take off?

- The "Americans are dumb" trope would be less common, as would the "Americans are religious" trope.

Reality TV was more a result of technology improvements and costs. With smaller and cheaper cameras, you could film high quality (image wise, not content) outside of the studio. That with the expansion of cable, I'm afraid it is inevitable.

Edit: the only change would come possibly with labor laws, if reality tv "stars" were held to the same union standards as actors.
