Pop-culture in TL-191

I am a bit curious to listen to ITTL's version of this song, which would be called There'll Be A Hot Time In The Town of Richmond, and both Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters would be Yankees here.

I don't know. But once the war is over, would US authorities really want to rub salt into the wounds of the defeated CS populace? Maybe, maybe not.

Imagine a TL-191 version of this:

This version could be for either the French King, the Tsar, the British King, or even the Emperor/Empress of Mexico.

Oh, and apparently, there's a somewhat similar idea with Francisco Franco...from 1978!

That top movie is great. The Second one I'm still trying to find. I think for a British version, Mosley or Churchill would be more fitting.

I absolutely love your content and I'm absolutely glad that you come back but to answer your question...

Mosley and Churchill are the likely ones to be more fitting to replace Mussolini movie but the first one that I say the Featherston movie it might be more controversial because how there is no CSA country producing it.

Huh maybe Mexican emperor in exiled returning to Mexico to visit

Well, that is unless you go with the headcanons of the CS becoming independent afterwards, like with Yankee Spring , Third Southron War, or my own. Even then, I can still see it being produced as a commentary on the Modern South (in TL 191 that is).

A reinforcement of Mexican barrels overrun a Union trench somewhere in West Texas.
From the television series, Silence on the American Front.

Any thoughts on the TL-191 version of the Supernatural/Sci-Fi Nazi Trope? I've always imagined a TL-191 version of Hellsing where the Major looks and talks like Colonel Sanders as well as TL-191 version of Wolfenstein where Frau Engel looks like Scarlet O'Hara and talks like Dolly Parton.

a long time ago there was a bit of a discussion on what the Indiana Jones franchise could look like with the Freedom Party in place of the Nazis, of course, with what it ultimately boiled down to being less that the Confederates are trying to find whatever artifacts for their magical properties in and of themselves but instead for the more practical purpose of weaponizing them (e.g., intentionally sending the likes of the Ark of the Covenant to the frontlines to devastate their enemies instead of capturing it to just generally ensure victory, or so they believe) because the Freedom Party doesn't have the mystical trappings of Nazism--think trying to find or create a Philosopher's Stone to use it as a battery for some Wunderwaffe-esque cannon instead of to make Featherston immortal

The south did have an obsession with "high civilization" and developing tech ahead of everyone else. The South actually managed to make a working atom bomb in TL-191, something the Nazis never came close to.

Maybe Indiana Jones is Sci-Fi with an ancient aliens bend for the first three, and goes fantasy with supernatural elements for the controversial fourth when he's fighting whoever becomes America's post war rival.

I wonder if there will be an infamous (Confederate) propaganda band like Charlie and his Orchestra, that makes propaganda versions of popular Yankee songs with the aim of turning the population of the North away from supporting the war.

Speaking of music and the North, I can see Polka (which originated from Eastern Europe) being more popular in the United States, thus taking the place of Jazz.

Imagine if Jake Featherston actual love jazz music but ban it because it associate with Black Confederate

How do you guys imagine how South Park would be in tl-191?
Most likely German or Japanese. Americans had genocide and atomic bombings happen on their soil, as well as having a history of socialism. Jokes at the expense of victims and "wow you care about stuff what a loser lol" Are unlikely to fly.

"And the award for the most unfunny people goes to the Americans."

Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long, 1995 American television drama, describing Long's tenure as governor of Louisiana to his assassination in 1937. While the drama was nominated for two Emmys and was critically well-received, it is controversial as many historians criticized the drama for apparently glorifying Long's regime over Louisiana and as well as the drama making no mention of Camp Dependable.
