Politics in a Quick CP Victory

Many timelines and scenarios posted to this board usually have France and/or Russia (and sometimes Britain) slide to the extreme right (fascist/militarist take over) or the extreme left (socialist/communist state). However, as far as I can see (and perhaps I just haven't looked all that hard) nobody has discussed the development of politics in a world where the 'Great War' really WAS over by the time the leaves fell.

Supposing that the war is concluded in favor of the Central Powers by October or November 1914 (or maybe early 1915), what would happen to the political life of the various countries involved?

The terms of the Peace Settlement are as follows:

Austria - Hungary: Serbia is fully put under their control with a pliant, willing government headed by the king of Montenegro; the two states are permitted to be joined but, the Sanjak of novi pazar is added to the province of Bosnia. Some border changes are made in the north of Serbia to the Kingdom of Hungary. To the north, Galicia is enlarged with gains made from Russia. The western part of Ukraine which the Imperial and Royal Army has occupied becomes the 'Kingdom of Ukraine' under Archduke Josef.

Germany: The Baltics are annexed with the exception of Lithuania which becomes an independent Kingdom. It is expected that later on that State will be admitted to the Reich. There is a small 'Weiss Ruthenien' state created. They also get Poland, which becomes a problem. The expected Habsburg heir refuses the throne as a matter of honor, because Germany annexes some parts of Congress Poland ("the border strip" that the army wanted) and Poland is only a puppet state with no control of foreign affairs. The Throne goes to a member of the Wettin House. To the West, Germany makes somewhat minor changes to the borders with France and Belgium, but gets larger concessions in Africa, and the colonies in the Pacific that had been occupied by Australia and Japan are given back, which seriously strains relations between the three.

Ottoman Empire: They make gains in the Caucasus with Russian Armenia, Georgia, and parts of Azerbaijan, but not a whole lot otherwise, which upsets some in Constantinople. They had fully expected the return of Egypt, Cyprus, and expansion into central asia across the Caspian Sea. Fortunately enough, none of these particular crack pots hold ministerial portfolios.

The Minor States: Bulgaria gets Macedonia, which surprises no one. Rumania gets the northern part of Moldavia and the rest is added to the 'Kingdom of Ukraine.' Italy receives Tunisia and Djibouti for their neutral stance in the war. Like the Ottomans, they are pissed that they didn't get more, but hey - they didn't do anything anyway.

So, to recap: what are your thoughts on the politics of the defeated Entente and victorious CP?:)

Hello,

about the osmans: what will happen? difficult to say at last, but if the osmans survive, they can and will recover, with german help and money, they will build a good railroad net, so they can deliver all the oil from the area to the europeans, so they will get rich - with this the sultan could stablizise his power - maybe he will loose, so the youngturks or others will take over... how they manage the internal struggle?

about the austrians: very problematic... it depends, can they migrate the a-h-empire to a more workable solution? if not, ah will explode and at last a larger totalitarism hungary and a smaller german part could survive..

about the germans: social unrest and change will happen if the kaiser do not reform more... if he do, he could slowly change it to a more democratic organisation, the military will be very important - like the us military in the eyes of a right wing american (to make clear what i see)

france: could be a chaos for a long time, if they change to a peaceful nation, after been beaten twice in 40 years they could survive - if they try to do a third round they are doomed. they do not need to colapse into a facist or communist nation, esp. with the reds loosing in russia

great britain: with a defeat and the loss of the bop, they could turn to isolanism... so nothing changes at all :p

usa: stay economic interested, but without beeing in the war its economy will suffer (like it did in 1914), but this could cause positive input, so the 1929-crash will not happen, but if it happen it is an american problem, not a worldwide deasaster

russia: with a fast defeat the tsarist regime is in trouble, if a revolution will happen the reds will not triumph, simply because the germans will support the whites... so no communistic evil will rule russia... but with 10 years the tsar will fall and something different (autocratic regime, democracy that will fall or something between these both possibilities) will happen
