Political Situation in Germany w/o WW1

Virtually all the politicians of the defeated, radicalised nation the Weimar republic was actually were politicians, civil servants and public functionaries of the late Reich as well - at least in its first about 8-10 years.

Oh, and ... there were quite some topics, that were on the agenda in the late Empire as well as in the Weimar Republic :
school politics
inheritance tax
income/direct taxes
social insurances (the Kaiser actually wanted to extend them ...)

As some sidenote :
the conservative economy (esp. the agrarians) formed a political cartell in 1913 to oppose the goverments financial politics (hindering Willy to expand on his toys : navy and army). ... what didn't really suit with Willy and his perception of 'conservative' politicians
Another sidenote on the growing 'functioning' of the Reichstag :
a 'coalition'(cooperation) of SPD, Center and Liberals forced the goverment to accept an unwanted way of financing the already passed Army-Law of 1913.

Interesting. Do you have any good sources for the politics of the pre-War Empire?

Unfortunatly no single one and especially not in english.
How well is your german ? ... esp reading old-german print letter ?
Aside from 'accumulating' infos by web-surfing (i.e. start with someones biography, get to his group/party, looking into side-notes about its history, leading to the one or other major ot minor event, telling me siomerthing about yet another person, etc., etc., you know this from A to B to C to .... X to W to Z surfing) over the last few years ... decades I use kind of primary sources like the Reichstag-protocols or the Statistical Yearbooks.
A modern letters - though still in german language - 'starting point' might be found at this wiki-source. A rather elaborate compendium about almost every aspect of the German Empire in honor of the 25th throne-jubilee of Wilhelm II. It's not an overall 'praise'. It sports quite some critical opinions as well ... regarding i.e. social and military politics and developments.

That’s a shame. My German is so-so but I doubt it would stretch to translating political documents.

Thank you for that. I’ll look it up.

Virtually all the politicians of the defeated, radicalised nation the Weimar republic was actually were politicians, civil servants and public functionaries of the late Reich as well - at least in its first about 8-10 years. IOTL they were then ... 'supplemented' by some radicalized soldiers/ FreeCorps figures, that most likely won't pop up as such ITTL.
SPD : Ebert, Scheidemann, Noske, Müller,
USPD : Liebknecht, Haase, Kautsky, Hilferding, Ledebour
DDP : Naumann, Geßler, Rathenau, Helene Lange
Center : Adenauer, Kaas, Erzberger, Brüning
DVP : Stresemann, Dingeldey, Scholz, Stinnes
DNVP : Helfferich, Westarp, Margarete Behm, Kapp
If you wanna speculate about their doings in an alternate timeline you will have to look up exactly the same people that played major role in the Weimar Republic. ... as well as the parties they were then members of/affiliated with.
No way the Conservatives would be as popular as the DNVP during the 1920s IOTL (which successfully capitalized on anti-Versailles sentiment in Germany). Their electoral prospects were actually declining up to 1914.
