I generally buy into the theory that candidates have windows at very distinct times. This isn't anything mythical, or even unexpected, but the series of items that come together to create a wave that someone can use to ride into the White House seems so rare that it may only happen once or twice in a politican's career, if at all. For some candidates, once they pass on a cycle, their next room seems very uphill. With that in mind, anyone have thoughts on politicians who passed up their best political windows? Off the top of my head:
2004 - Hillary Clinton
2008 - Jon Huntsman
2012 - Jeb Bush
2016 - Joe Biden
