Polar Bears introduced to the South Pole?

Would it be possible for Polar bears to be introduced to the South pole?

Would they slaughter the Penguins in a bloodbath?

I can just imagine the headline!!!

POLAR BEARS CONQUER SOUTH POLE IN BLOODBATH:p

In all seriousness though, it would be possible but it would bring down both species respective population because of food competition, as you would expect. But it wouldn't have any major effects, besides the animal activists would be screaming about the Polar Bears even more

The only reason I can see this happening is:

Polar Bear and its closest relatives become delicacies in Russian, Canadian, Finnish, Norwegian, or other Far Northern cultures. These people at some point attempt to colonize Antarctica. Deciding that the seals taste bad, they decide to convert them into Polar Bear by introducing a wild population.

Maybe polar bears in Anactica is a bit extreme.

HOWEVER, due to global warming (according to BBC - so it is the truth), Grizzly bears are now getting into pol;ar bear territory in Alaska.

So, one day, maybe, Polar bears will get a lift.

Grizzly's have occasionally moved that far North. It seems to be more about the grizzly population recovering then global warming, since they're becoming more common throughout the Pacific Northwest.
