Here's my idea:

1. Hitler was said to be an admirer of Jozef Pilsudski, although apparently the latter rebuffed approaches for a meeting etc.

2. There was a Polish-German non-aggression pact in 1934

3. Germany's demands on Poland prior to 1939 were fairly modest - they wanted Danzig and an extra-territorial railway.

4. They are both anti-Soviet - Polish anti-Soviet plan is Promethianism - undermining the USSR by supporting the growth of nationalist movements within

5. They are both allied with Japan

6. They both have territorial claims against Czechoslovakia

7. General Sikorski was an early exponent of armoured/blitzkreig type warfare (like De Gaulle, Fuller, Guderain, etc.)

8. Polish contribution was vital to breaking enigma.

So I am thinking of putting a timeline where Poland is allied with Germany, and WW2 begins when they invade Czechoslovakia. Obviously a lot subsequently could follow including a v. different WW2.

Thoughts anybody?
