Isn't that implausible.The Mongols were always beaten here and there.
 
Mamluk victory over the Mongols was overall probable at that point. The Mongols should not have been able to make it too far past Isfahan area Iran, if not for Abbasid compliance in early stages and then Abbasid idiocy in later stages.

Mongols was very, very implausible, in my opinion.
