Plausibility of a Prussia-Poland?

Is there any possibility of a Prussia-Poland state, becoming a thing after the commonwealth had lost most of its mass to Russia and Austria? Would this Prussia be as focused on German unification as OTL? Who would unify Germany, or would it stay disunited? Is this even possible?

Just before the 1806 war and defeat, the Prussian court seriously considered re-creating a Polish viceroyalty under the Prince Radziwill.
Perhaps Prussia remains on the French side by swallowing all the microaggressions by Napoleon, and after an Austrian defeat it gets awarded both Austrian Galicia from the 72 and 95 partitions. Mainly to aggravate both Austria and Russia.

Now would it survive the eventual fall of Napoleon? Unlikely.

Another, earlier idea:

Warsaw is worth a mass:
PoD in 1674: Kurprinz Karl Emil, the oldest living son of the Great Elector, survives his illness. Since he is only 19, we can ascribe him pretty much all opinions we like once he succeeds to the throne in ~1688.

To keep it short: Karl Emil is much more pro-French than his brother Friedrich. Per medical butterflies, elector Johann Georg III of Saxony does not get smallpox from his mistress and survives, so Prince August does not become a candidate for the Polish succession. Instead, Karl Emil manages to get French support for his candidacy.

Here's my idea/s:
- The Baltic/Old Prussians were converted to Roman Catholicism earlier than OTL through missionaries from Poland.

- Teutonic Knights would be invited to defend Prussia and they would intermarried with local Baltic Prussian women, but their offspring would speak Old/Baltic Prussian while at the same time inherited martial skills from their German fathers.

I don't think this Prussia is in any position to unify Germany any more than Austria did, considering most of the Germans would want a Germany for Germans only.

Would there actually be an unifier? I get the feeling that it might be in the interest of both Austria-Hungary and Prussia-Poland to stop it.

Option a): Rheinbund 2.0 is created by France, supporting the biggest regional power that is not a direct lackey of the two Great powers (presumably Bavaria).
Roughly analogous to the Italian unification.

Option b): Assuming that a Prussia that owns Poland will not own Rhenish territory from Saarbrücken to Münster, the ruler that now owns this potentially highly industrialized area will be powerful enough to pull this off (either alone or in alliance with France).

This would of course be helped by avoiding or changing the Unpleasantness of 1789-1815, s France is not the "hereditary enemy" and German nationalism develops different enought so that neither Austrians nor Brandenburgers-Pomeranians-Silesians-Prussians are seen as fully German by those in the lands between Rhine and Elbe.

Look to the East

My own timeline took this premise (if in a rather tongue in cheek fashion). The biggest problem is that the Russians have to be decisively knocked out of the picture for such a union to happen- oh and also add France - and Austria - and the Baltic States - and Great Britain! So no - it's not really plausible, but it would be rather cool for such an awesome time line to happen
The Polish ruling classes seemed to be quite close to the King and Queen of Prussia, Poniatovsky seemingly got on with Louise as did other leading Polish luminaries. The problem is that the poles want independent rule, not Union with anyone else.
Russia will not condone such an alliance as they will lose their wealthy western provinces, any war between Prussia and Russia might even lose Lithuanian lands to Prussia .
Austria would fear for Galicia and maybe even Moravia possibly even Bohemia and or Ukrainian lands (Lemberg/Lvov)
The Baltic states would fear a Prussia with a reason to have a navy, and a strong one at that.

I managed it, just, but it butterflied in so many problems, I had to give up the story or start writing how all the affected nations would have to react. It did give rise to an awesome Prussian army though, complete with Polish Noble Guard cavalry!

I would much rather see a possibility of a Habsburg Austria-Bohemia-Hungary-Poland (without Lituania) union.

Jadwiga is better with the axe or the gates of Wawel are left mysteriously open and she succesfully runs away to marry Wilhelm ;)
