Plausibility Check: Philippine Civil War

This idea has been at the back of my mind for some time. What if a civil war broke out during the Philippine Revolution?

I thought of 2 scenarios:

- Bonifacio evaded capture by Aguinaldo's men. He then rally his allies against the "traitors" in Cavite.

- Antonio Luna gets fed up with Aguinaldo's antics and launches a coup.

What do you think guys? Do you have any PODs in mind?

Let's discuss.

You can have the first POD and have Luna work with Bonifacio because i think Bonifacio is more open to having a competent leader and not feel threatened the same way Agunaldo and his generals were?

All is plausible. With bonifacio, he can rally his troops, but it is better that Bonifacio moves back to the north instead of staying in Cavite. Cavite is Aguinaldo's bastion. There is no way Bonifacio's going to win in cavite. It is even plausible to think that two separate rebellions will be more than the Spanish can handle. They were already hands full with Aguinaldo whose control was only Cavite in 1896/7. So any full scale attack by the Spanish can lead to Bonifacio attacking from the North due to the Spanish forces going to Cavite.

With Luna, it doesnt really matter since this would happen in Phil-Am war. The winner will still have to deal with the Americans. If this didnt happen in Phil-Am war, Luna will be assassinated just like in OTL or Aguinaldo will lose badly in in any warfare against Luna. Either scenario can happen since history the better general wins or gets assassinated instead since they are no match for him in battle.

How do you prevent the assassination of General Luna though? If I recall, there was a youtube video about how the gold that was supposed to fund the Philippine rebellion against both Spain and the US somehow ended up in the hands of Ysidra Cojuangco, his lover. Of course, this may have been a rumor.
