If Boulanger's coup attempt succeeded, how likely is it for him to have been crowned Emperor?

If butterflies ever do put Boulanger in charge, I don't think he'd be crazy enough to make himself Emperor. The title was too tarnished by the Bonapartes after the F-P War. If he restores the monarchy, he'll likely pick the Orléanist branch of the Bourbons while making sure that he is the power behind the throne.
