Plausibility Check: Electronic Music Takes Longer to Go Mainstream

So I've been working on an ATL where synthesizers take longer to enter mainstream music. I've already planned out what the effects are, but I need a POD. The one I was trying to go with is that Robert Moog's synthesizers are financially a failure. However, I'm also aware there are other synthesizers existed at the time too, but I have no clue if they'd become as big as Moogs did. I can also see Bruce Haack filling in the gap Moog leaves behind so maybe I should butterfly him out too, but Haack is relatively obscure compared to Moog so maybe I have nothing to worry about. Perhaps I could go further and remove Léon Theremin's work which butterflies away Moog's work out too?

Something I want to happen in this ATL is that electronic music does start to take off once personal computers become a thing, but I'm not sure if this is plausible.
