Plausibility check/AHC/WI: Sizeable Jewish population in East Asia

Is it possible for there to be a sizeable Jewish population in East Asia, basically, an East Asian counterpart of the Ashkenazi? If so, what effects would it have on East Asia and the world?

The issue is, where? Parts of what would become French Indo-China? The problem is one of moving into highly populated areas. But it should fundamentally be possible, as Jews do not usually have problems getting along with Buddhists.

IOTL, there are old Jewish communities in India and Central Asia. What would it take for a sizeable group of Jews to move, even, further, east, to China or Southeast Asia?

There was a Jewish community in Kaifeng, not sure how they could establish other Jewish communities in the rest of China and East Asia.

Perhaps the Radhanites continue to exist and gain converts to Judaism in a similar manner to OTL Arab/Persian traders?

Another idea would be such communities eventually migrating to Taiwan under ATL Song and Ming (aka Tungning) successor states, becoming a significant population prior to Ming Taiwan being later conquered by the British or another colonial power.

Radhanite traders going indonesia on china, japan and korea would be certainly good for all fans of the original abrahamic faith. Would they attempt to retake the holy land at any point or is it too far away until the modern day?

Unlikely.

Though things would be interesting if they manage to survive as significant communities up to the present, probably post-1900 conflicts culminating with Communist victory in the Chinese civil war would encourage waves of immigration.

Also fascinated by the degree they are influenced by surrounding cultures in terms of cuisine / etc such as having a tradition of eating fish and meat/poultry (e.g. via fish sauces, etc) or poultry and dairy together (e.g. Jose the Galilean), yet prohibiting something like alliums (e.g. such as Onion, Garlic, Leek, Chives and Shallots, etc) akin to Chinese Buddhist cuisine. Not to mention the Kosher version of Hot Pot.

Perhaps a religious melody (called Nigun) in overtone singing form comparable to Mongolian throat singing, Judeo-Chinese / East Asian hybrid languages and Jewish Chinese / East Asian martial arts (akin to the Hui martial arts, modern Silat, etc).
