Pilot not dropped- Bismark keeps office, can WW1 be stopped

WI Bismark had stayed Chancellor for longer and Willie the Stupid took his advice.

Could different more cautious German policy have avoided the First World War, especially in relation to Russia.

Bismarck wouldn't remain in office or alive long enough for WW1 to be avoided.

I think that if Bismarck had handelled Willie better he could have remained in power, the problem was that Bismarck was expecting Fredrick to follow as Kaiser and he died after only 90 days on the throne.

If Bismarck was more diplomatic he could have stayed in power (ok so we may have to remove the anti-socalist bills).

With regards to the war, German was following it's allie Austria to war, and so would not have avoided the war once the dominoes started to fall.

The main question regarding ww1 is , could Bismarck keep the Rückversicherungsvertrag or have other Treaties that avoid a Alliance between France and Russia etc...

Britain was treatened by Germany and in 1904 signed the Entente Cordial.

If Bismarck could have held Willhelm in check and not so threatening to Britain then it would mean WWI would have been re-run of Franco-Prussian war (as long as Belgium not invaded) on the Western Front, and then Eastern Front very similar to OTL.

In OTL Bismarck, even with his considerable diplomatic talent, just barely managed to keep Germany from appearing as Britain's greatest threat.

If Bismarck is kept by Willy then not much will happen with regards to WWI, since he's gonna be dead in a few years and Willy will continue his Weltpolitik policy. What can change due to butterflies are the spark that starts it (and it will still be some damn thing in the Balkans).

Bismarck will do anything to keep Russia from forming an alliance with France, that's sure. But even if not: If he can improve the relations to Britain instead, the Fashoda incident may lead to an earlier WW1, but with Britain on the CP's side (and probably, Italy too).

Bismarck also opposed the Zanzibar-Helgoland treaty. I don't know if that was because he was really against it or he was just trolling because he wasn't the one signing it, however.

While Bismark was a superb diplomat and keeping him in office might help Germanys foreign politics, he neglected some other fields of politics. Caprivi for example made some reforms which helped the German economy. As I am no expert on this theme, I don´t know how much delaying them would hurt, but we should keep in mind that keeping Bismarck will have not only positive effects
