Berthold Konrad Hermann Albert Speer (1905-1989), during a press conference in 1974. The "depressed president", as some called him. Speer was the last Greater German Führer (leader), ruling the country de jure from the death of Adolph Hitler in 1963 until his death in 1989, but de facto only taking control in late 1964 after the german civil war. Voted the most influent figure of the 20th century, his legacy is cheered and supported all over the world as the man who brought the end of the national socialist dictatorship and renewed Greater Germany into it's current form. After the great slave revolt of 1971 his powers were greatly diminished, however, and on public appearances such as the one above showed a depressed, some times distant Führer, to what some attribute to some unknown illness or a old age crisis, since it was incoherent for the Führer to be on such a state while Greater Germany blossomed.

Adoplf von Thadden, long-time leader of the National Democratic Party of Germany until his death in 1996, one of the political parties formed from the carcass of the NSDAP after Speer's death and Helmut Schmidt dissolving the NSDAP. While overshadowed by the "revived" DNVP that Henning von Trescow and his supporters formed as the main party of the right, the NPD still wins 20-30 seats in the Reichstag with the NPD's power-base being largely comprised of pensioners.

OOC: TTL's NPD is basically a German equivalent to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, so to speak.

In TNO monarchy is a spent force. Germany would remain a republic regardless

I know, the admins said that.

But the old DNVP was a party with monarchists on it, so it makes sense. Furthermore this is after the nazis are out, so there is going to be a minor monarchist moviment, just like OTL Germany and OTL Russia. By no means a large one.

I wonder besides the obvious such as perverting the negative portrayals of Germany and the Nazi government, what other censorship would the 'Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda' impose on imported Western cinema?

Maybe some sort of list about not having interracial couples from different ethnic groups on screen (Or at least, have a 'One interracial couple per-movie' limit, with them not being allowed to engage in displays of intimacy on-screen), hiding the participation of Jewish cast members in the credits for the German cut of the movie, cutting out dialogue in which a non-Aryan character openly challenges or outsmart an Aryan, not having Aryan characters be in a subordinate role to a non-Aryan, not staring actors that have openly criticized the Nazi government in real life... etc.

Well, while I was studying at a university in the UK (Scotland, to be exact), the City Council of the town I was living in had an elected council member belonging to one to one of the mainstream political parties who was and still is an open Maoist... One that I had the displeasure of personally having to meet and interact with (Funny enough, by getting introduced to the guy in a D&D group that I was part of... And left shortly after because I couldn't stand the presence of said Councillor anymore. Him calling me, a Hong Konger, a 'capitalist menace', might have something to do with it). And by 'Maoist', I meant the hardcore 'The famine during the Great Leap Forward was caused by American sabotage, and was greatly exaggerated anyway/The Cultural Revolution was a great thing, and the 'Barefoot Doctors' were one of history's greatest humanitarian achievements/Stalin did nothing wrong and Khrushchev was a revisionist traitor/Reform and opening up was a sell out/The fall of the Berlin Wall was the world largest wave of reactionary de-democratisation' tankie brand of Maoism.... With this person being an elected politician in one of the world's most important Western democracies. When I talked to my friends that voted for said part about this, their reaction tends to either be: (1) 'Well, I only voted for the party instead of that Councilor specifically'; or (2) 'Even if he is a Maoist, it's not like he will be in a positon to collectivize his constituency into a People's Commune or anything. So why does his other political views matter?'

Granted, he was just one of the many Councillors in a city with 200,000 people, and it wasn't like he was a MP or anything... But in the context of the TNO world, in which Speer managed to reform Nazism into something that is workable, I could see a Nazi apologists getting into political office in the US... Maybe not getting all the way to the House of Representatives, but in local level elections, and getting away with saying all kinds of really vile stuff by the standards of our world, with NPP saying, 'Look, I just voted for him because I don't like the R-D. And it's not like that he will actually be able enacting Nazi policies or anything'.
What I find strange is that, dunno, what exactly are Speer' reforms? Because like, initially it looked like he was "Dengist China but German" as a sort of Tense Compromise to prevent WW3.
However, those posts make it look is just the same Germany but with good PR.

The only surviving photograph to depict the Burgundian decapitation strike on the ancient city of Washington, D.C., capital of the old American Republic during the Final War, the last stage of the Post Antediluvian Age Collapse. The Post-Antediluvian Age Collapse is thought by historians to have begun somewhere around 1900 CE and is thought to have included several stages, each a devastating war until finally culminating in what is referred to as the Final War in 1970 CE, where the Collapse truly set in. The Final War lasted roughly one-two weeks and resulted in the collapse of every major state in the world while throwing the rest of the world into anarchy and famine, caused by the dust clouds created by the great "superbombs" the Empires used in the war. Estimates of the ancient world's population at the time were around 3.4 billion, but the Final War cut it by half, to just 1.7 billion people surviving the war. This doesn't factor in the additional hundreds of millions who died after the war, usually due to starvation, fighting, or radiation sickness. Modern science has still been unable to replicate the weapons used in the Final War, probably a godsend.

Modern historians believe that the Final War was caused when Madman Himmler, the leader of the ancient Burgundian State, a breakaway province of the German Reich, ordered his country to fire their superbombs at every major empire or state in the world. He ensured that these strikes looked like they came from different nations instead of solely Burgundy, resulting in a cascade of retaliatory strikes from every major nation on their perceived rivals and foes, with even neutral nations being struck to ensure no one rose up after the war. It is still unknown why Himmler authorized these strikes. What we do know is that because of the actions of one man, an entire world was destroyed.

The photograph was recovered in a joint expedition in 2619 CE between the Aryan Union of Burgundy (a rather liberal place, actually) and the Virginian Federation.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fuhrer of Germany from 1995 to 1999 and Chancellor of Germany from 1999 to 2010. Schwarzenegger was born in the heart of the Reich in 1947, two years after the conclusion of the Second World War. Schwarzenegger was a teenager when the German Civil War broke out, but nonetheless was conscripted by force into the army of Martin Bormann. Schwarzenegger would later recount that his forced conscription influenced him to become a sympathizer to the views of the Speer supporters. Postwar, Schwarzenegger was a supporter of the Speer-era reforms, but additionally made forays into acting. Schwarzenegger would become a major German film star (most notable for his depictions of great heroes of legend such as Sigurd and Frederick Barbarossa) and many right-wingers held him up as an example of an ideal Aryan man (at least until Schwarzenegger grew comfortable enough to openly state his distaste for their beliefs). During the democratization that followed Speer's death, Schwarzenegger entered politics, winning election to the Reichstag as an independent in the 1982 elections. Schwarzenegger would go on to help form the Christian Social Union of Germany, a Christian democratic party that was center-right by international standards, but left-of-center in the German political spectrum at the time. Schwarzenegger would assume the mantle of party leader in 1990 and lead the party to victory for the position of Fuhrer in 1995. During Schwarzenegger's term, the post-Speer reforms reached their apex. Schwarzenegger renounced the title of Fuhrer in 1999 and reduced the position to 'merely' Chancellor. He additionally extended official diplomatic recognition to the government of Russia in 2000 and the State of Israel in 2003 following extensive negotiations. Schwarzenegger additionally implemented a number of environmental initiatives and argued in favor of reparations to the nations of the Mediterranean for the ecological damage caused by the Atlantropa project, though this failed. Schwarzenegger had to contend with rising neo-Nazi violence in the latter years of his government, including an attempted assassination by Beate Zschape in 2006. Schwarzenegger was also viewed as somewhat corrupt while in office, though he was never charged with any crimes and left office relatively popular. Since leaving office, Schwarzenegger has been a major critic of the policies of Chancellor Jorg Haider, elected in 2015, who he warned was seeking to 'roll back the clock to the years of Hitler.'

I’ve heard a lot of conflicting reports about fash Speer in reddit and the discord. Some say you need to totally crush slave revolt, others say that you negotiate with the slaves to end slavery and oppose Schorner, but don’t go all the way.

Basic, Speer reforms are directed towards making the fascistic NSDAP works, while the gang of four is reforming to turn Germany into a democracy.

If Speer wins, he creates a technocratic fascist dictatorship, it's like Dengist China, but with a massive sphere of influence and extremely racist.

There are multiple paths for reformist Speer. Spoilers below.
Basically, Speer himself only wants to make minor reforms. At heart, he is a fascist and wants to maintain a fascist system. His goal is to make the Reich sustainable in the long term rather than at imminent risk of collapse-but that's ALL he wants. He hasn't got nearly as many moral objections to Nazism as he claims, it's more the pragmatic reasons.

However, within Speer's government is the Gang of 4 who are genuinely interested in reshaping Germany into a democracy. The option where Germany ends up fully democratizing is the one where the Gang of 4 outmaneuvers Speer to the point he is nothing more than their figurehead. The option where only token changes are made is one where Speer outmaneuvers the Gang and purges them. There is also a path where the reforms fail completely and Speer becomes a puppet of hardliners.

The "Black-White-Red" flag of Germany. After the dissolution of the Nazi Party and end of Nazism under the leadership of Helmut Schmidt when Speer died, the swastika was removed as the flag of Germany and while there were many voices calling for the restoration of the Schwartz-Rot-Gold, the "imperial tricolor" was eventually adopted by Germany as its national flag.

The extention of the Slave revolt that decided the fate of the German Reich. It must be noticed that even German Majority areas such as Estonia and southern Ukraine joined it.

Marshal of the Russian Federative Republic Pavel Batov, the "Russian Cincinnattus", who was Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky's second-in-command in the war that the 3rd Army fought against the radical communists in Tyumen and the ultranationalists in Omsk and succeeded him as commander of the 3rd Army and gained fame through how he surrendered power peacefully to Boris Yeltsin, thereby being remembered as the "Russian Cincinnattus".

Sergey Khruschev (1935-2020). After the removal of the ultra-stalininsts¹ from power by Nikita Khruschev, Sergey was trained to succed his father as the new soviet leader, taking power shortly after the demise of his father in 1971, a year after the restoration of the USSR. Sergey led the Soviet Union on it's unification with kazakhstan and pacification of Central Asia, being a even more of a technophile than his father, his investiment in nuclear weapons and ICBMs allowed him to get a deterrent against the Germans during the Great Anti Fascist War, when the Soviet Union reconquered most of it's western territories apart from the baltics.

He passed away about a month ago, soon the soviet government will elected a new Chairman, with Nikita Khruschev (grandson of the re-founder) being a leading candidate.

¹Since we got Stalina being a autdem, the ultra stalininsts are the lazar faction.

This younger photo of Batov looks a lot like Jason Isaacs in Death of Stalin. I'm not the only who sees the resemblance, right?

The main thing that Speer does is end slavery within Germany, while exporting it to the eastern RKs. He also liberalizes the German economy and breaks up cliques within the Wehrmacht. But if he gets his way the office of Fuhrer is just as autocratic as it was, if not more. Honestly better PR is a pretty big part of his reforms as he wants to open the German economy to American and Japanese trade.

1st Prime Minister of The Republic of Israel Yitzhak Rabin (on the right) discussing an issue in politics with his close advisor Shimon Peres.
Rabin is widely considered as the father of the nation, by being the leader of the Hebrew Yishuv's negotiation team in the Jerusalem conference and having a key part in preventing a war between Israelis and Palestinians.

Today, Israel & Palestine (as well as Emirates of Transjordan and Lebanon) are part of the economic pact ''The Levant union'' (as well as being economically close with the Kingdom of Italy)

A United States Air Force Boeing B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber dropping its payload on Windhoek airport during Operation Chainsaw, 1970. The airport at Windhoek was located in Reichskommisariat Südwestafrika and it was one of the most heavily bombed targets of the entire war, with USAF members joking that they dropped more ordnance on it then they had in the entirety of the Second World War. Operation Chainsaw, the US bombing campaign on the German colonies, which lasted from 1970-1971, managed to force the Reichskommisariats to the negotiating table. Ultimately, an armistice was signed in April 1972, ending the South African War with a status quo antebellum. Most US troops were withdrawn the following year, with US troop sizes shrinking down to 30,000 instead of 2,000,000, during the war. The Boer guerillas were not defeated until 1973, however, with some holdouts managing to last well into the late 1970s. However, all of the Reichskommisariats would have collapsed by 1980, prompting yet another OFN intervention in Africa...

Doesn't the south African war start in 1962? How is it still going on by 1970?

One of the few photos of the Black Brigades, the elite forces of the Black Leagues Army, on parade. The photo is dated somewhere around the mid 1960s.

Black League soldiers attack Russland positions near Moskau, late 1970s. The Battle would nearly level the city and kill 353,000 German soldiers and civilians but the League would emerge victorious in the end. This is roughly where the historical record ends.
