After the Internationale's opening offensive, capitulating Belgium and retaking most of Alsace-Lorraine except the city of Strasbourg, the Germans hastily formed a new defensive line from the Dutch border to the Swiss border. This line would cut through the Ardennes and the German side of the Rhine. The terrain stopped the advance since the tanks couldn't be used properly. The Internationale tried twice to punch through these defenses, but after both failed, they had to come up with a new plan to prevent the armies from digging in and forming trenches. Their new plan was to go around the German line by swinging through The Netherlands.

After pushing Ottoman forces back into Anatolia, the old empire, at long last, collapsed in on itself. As the new independent Turkish nation surrendered and consolidated its power, border squabbles resulted in the dissolution of the Cairo Pact. The fragile peace lasted for thirty years, until the aggressive Saudi monarch launched an assault to force Persia to give up their gains in Mesopotamia. The war turned into stalemate within a year, and the fighting devolved into World War One-like tactics, including trench warfare and constant artillery barrages on enemy lines. The conflict resulted in almost 600,000 combined casualties, making it one of the most devastating post-Second Weltkrieg conflicts.

75 years of oppressive government, their defeat in the Persian-Arabian war, and yet another stalemate in their war against Yemen proved to be too much for the Saudi people to tolerate. On the first day of Ramadan, September 12th, 2007, partisans and part of the Saudi Royal army marched in the royal palace and deposed King Salaman, ending the Arabian-Yemeni war and triggering what historians called "The Arab Spring", which resulted in the removal of all monarchies in the Arabian Peninsula and leading to a civil war in Oman.

Alexei Navalny leader of the United Democratic Party and President of Russia (2012-present) he became one of the leading central figures during the Russian Revolution of 2010 when the Russian People tired of the one-party authoritarian rule of the Second Russian Empire led by the Neo-Savnikovist Patriotic Motherland Movement and Tsar Sergei Wrangel along with there outspoken Prime Minister Valdamir Zhirinovsky the Revolution began after the European Winter when a number of Nat Pop regimes throughout Eastern Europe, Middle East, and the Sino-Russian war against the Cordale Entente (Asia-Pacific Co-Prosperity Sphere, the Entente and the remants of Mittleuropa rolled into one faction) which ended in disaster for Russia. Alexei is seen here after escaping a motherland pruficatiin camp following a prison riot outside Moscow folowed by a thousands of protesters waving the flags of the Russian Republic confronting the Okhrana secret police and Black Hundreds militiamen outside of Winter Palace in Petrograd they proced to overpower the police and militamen and stormed the winter palace where they managed to find Vladamir on the roof waiting for a helicopter (which was shot down by members of the Russian Army who joined the revolution)

After the surrender of the Commune of France, the fate of the SRI was sealed. Despite fighting valiantly in the waning months of its existence using elements of guerrilla warfare, the combined Danubian Federation-Reichkspact-Entente invasion was too much to handle, and the entire nation fell apart within four months. The 13th Infantry Division of the Italian Republic celebrated victory by executing Mussolini and putting the corpse on public display, reminding the citizens of who was in charge now. With that, Syndicalism forever died from Mainland Europe, never again to make a resurgence. The Second Weltkrieg was almost over, and all eyes turned to the British Isles.

The Combined Syndicates of America, while mostly restoring the processes of democracy in the titular United States, kept occupied Canada under strict martial law. The population lived under decades of imperial rule, and thus the Congress of American Syndicates deemed it prudent to enforce stricter rule of law as protection against possible reactionary or counter-revolutionary agents.

Logo for The New Order: Last Days of Europe mod for Iron Cross IV. The mod is an alternate history in which the Entente, which has allied themselves with Russia, and the Central Powers manage to win the Second Weltkrieg. The Point of Divergence are Canada becomes an absolute monarchy under Edward VIII asserting his royal prerogatives, as well as moderates taking over the Commune of France and the Union of Britain instead of Deat and Mosley, respectively. They run their nations to the ground and this facilitates an easy win for the German Empire come the Second Weltkrieg. Britain is retaken by the British exiles, Italy is unified under Balbo, while France is divided into Brittany, Normandy, a German puppet in the North, and the French Exiles in the South under Petain's Junta. The CSA still manages to win the Second Civil War, only to be invaded by a combination of Russian, Canadian, and German forces, and divided into many Warlord states, with reactionary forces constantly bombing the infrastructure to ensure no Syndicalist power rises out of the Americas. As per OTL the Belgrade Pact triumphs over Bulgaria and Hungary, but Austria is attacked in a surprise move by the German Empire, which annexes Austria into the Reich.

China still unifies as a democracy under the Republic of China, but their efforts to seize control of the Legation cities are blocked by the Russian nuking of Beijing.

The post war peace is not to last. Economic mismanagement brings the Russian state to the brink of collapse, and sees the restored Great Britain, the Mexican junta, and the national populist government of Argentina form the "Imperial Triumvirate" to contain Russian AND German influence, but are themselves torn by internal conflicts such as Britain’s claim over the Falklands, conflicts that threaten to escalate and usher in the collapse of the Imperial Triumvirate. Germany faces colonial revolts sponsored by the Republic of China, a MittleAfrika where white supremacist German settlers are gradually leaning towards Russia, and constant saber rattling from Russia, seeking to regain it's territories lost to MittleEuropa in the first Weltkrieg. Japan and China lead the League of Free Nations, but the latter is facing growing radicalism as the KMT is challenged by the Popular Revolutionary Front, composed of Syndicalists AND National Populists, the latter group seeking an unholy alliance with Russia against the German Empire.

Russia has just landed their first man on the moon, and is ruled Sergei Bunyachenko, whom took power as Vozhd after Savkinov's death in 1953. He is seen as a weak willed successor, and all factions from internal reformists to army hardliners to the Combat Squads themselves are planning to overthrow him. Even more disturbing is the goals of the leader of the Combat Squads, Konstantin Rodzaevsky. Already having disagreements with Savinkov over the latter's resistance of antisemitism while the latter was still alive, he felt that the Russian state has gone too corrupt under Bunyachenko, and developed a new ideology, UltraNational Populism, while seeking to unleash a nuclear holocaust that will cleanse the world of non-Slavic races. Operating from a fortified stronghold in the reclaimed Alaska, Rodzaevsky seeks to fund the leader of the Russia branch of the Combat Squads, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, to secure victory in the coming civil war, and manipulates the great powers into achieving his apocalyptic goals..................

"The Two Official Languages": A cartoon from a Montreal newspaper depicts caricatures of English- and French-speaking Canadians and the relations between them during the debates on official bilingualism in the late 1930s. Bilingualism at the governmental level, mediated to some extent by Rideau Hall, became as an important measure in ensuring Canadian unity in the leadup to the Liberation, and went a long way to assuaging fears of a further rift between French and English Canada.

As Russia is the Nazi Germany of my headcanon, maybe Russian puppet states in the west coast. Also I think that TTLs TNO won't fully mirror OTL TNO. Germany is supposed to be Imperial Japan. That said Germany would have puppets on the east coast that would seek to reunify the US under their rule and some of the warlords would be pro mittleuropean

Basically you can say TTLs TNO is a dystopia within a dystopia, the CSA under non totalist leadership wins the 2ACW, Syndicalists win WK2 in my headcanon and Asia is unified under democratic Chinese and Japanese leadership............however the French have gone Vanguardist under the Jacobins, and Europe is divided between Savinkov and the Totalists. Even worse the Russians carry out genocides and forced Russification programs directed against the Central Asian, Ukrainian and Baltic populations, and forced deportation of Baltic German settlers into National Populist Prussia. Romania would carry out similar atrocities against the Hungarian and Jewish populations.

Through my headcanon has a sort of light at the end of the tunnel. The French Jacobins are overthrown in the 70s and the new government reforms and starts to mend the Chicago-Paris split, the National Populist regimes violently collapse in the early to mid 80s Also the Union of Britain throws out Mosley, who was forced to work with moderates for the war efforts in 1944 in the TUC elections when he showed attempts to become dictator, with Mosley dying in a car crash not long afterwards, and the Socialist Republic of Italy and Iberia never become totalist. The Nordics also never fall to radicalism, forming a democratic Scandinavian Bloc.

TTLs TNO is essentially a dystopia within a dystopia, where the whole world is fucked over and not just Eurasia(and possibily Africa if I have time to cover decolonization)

Nice.Although i may suggest that you change 'John Jack Reed' to something representing more than a person,and mirroring the original's 'Revolutionary Military Council'.The video for the KR version would probably have an American Eagle,and Huey Long as the Czar.

How Few Remain is the start of the Timeline-191 series(consisting of How Few Remain, the Weltkrieg trilogy, the Red South Trilogy, and the Second Great War: Settling Accounts trilogy, which features a victorious South, albeit one that falls to a massive socialist slave uprising during the timeline's equvilent of the Great War. The timeline involves Special Order 191 never falling into Union Hands. This allows Robert E. Lee to defeat George McClellan and march onto Philadelphia. This results in the recognition of the Confederacy by Britain and France as a nation-state and their subsequent victory in the Civil War. The Confederates fight one more war with a increasingly revanchist Union, which starts a second war in 1881 over it's purchase of Mexican territories. The Confederacy subsequently wins and goes on to buy Cuba. The string of defeats cause the Union to develop an quasi-authoritarian revanchist ideology known as Remembrance and forge closer ties with the German Empire.

How Few Remain leads to the Weltkrieg Trilogy, which feature the Confederates as part of the Entente and the Union as part of the Central Powers. The Union has spent the years between their defeat in the Mexican war arming themselves and becoming more militarized, while the Confederates are hamstrung by their slave based economy, which they have not abolished, and by a weaker military. This results in the Union defeating the Confederates, and the latter falling to a socialist slave uprising led by the "Sons of Brown", leading to the creation of the Socialist States of New Afrika. The US, caught between two fronts however, collapses as Commonwealth troops successfully defend Canada. In Europe, Germany is defeated by France and Russia advancing from both fronts. The Austo-Hungarian Empire collapses in a socialist revolution, leading to the rise of the Danubian Worker's Republic.

The next trilogy Red South sees far right southern politicians, and OTL members of the KKK carry out a mass exodus from the SSNA after the "Great Emancipation War", eventually managing to influence the politics of an increasingly anti-socialist US, the rise of National Populism in Germany, the former Ottoman Empire, and Italy(which was cheated out of the territorial demands they desired, leading to a sense of betrayal by the Italians towards the Entente) under Hermann Goering's German National Front, the Turanists under Nihal Atsiz, and Julius Evola's New Romanist League respectively. The US itself would fall to National Populism under Gordon McSweeney and William Dudley Pelley's Remembrance Party, and the stage is set for a Second Great War...........

I might do some other Turtledove books in the future set in KR. Maybe Guns of the South and Worldwar. But probably not gonna summarize TTLs' settling accounts(through I will say it ends in a Entente and Internationale victory over the Berlin Pact of USA, Germany, Italy, Japan and Turkey, and the world settling into a Cold War between the Socialist Internationale led by the Danubians and the New Afrikans vs. the Entente led by Russia, France and the UK) However, here are some more alternate history within my headcanon.

On the Oceans of Eternity, the final book in the Island in the Sea of Time trilogy, which sees the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts being transported by an unknown phenomenon (called "The Event") back in time from 1981 to the Bronze Age circa 1250s B.C. The uptimers must learn to survive and adapt to this strange new world, and are themselves divided on what to do next, with some wanting isolation, and others calling for the restoration of capitalism on the islands. Some others however, want to spread Syndicalist ideals in the ancient world.

The uptimers of Nantucket themselves however, are not the only ones that have been transported. A Russian State cruiser, headed by the insane captain Dimitri Makarov has also been transported to the Bronze Age, with Makarov seeking to carve out his own Empire in the name of Slavic dominantion.....
