Possibly. The POD for ZSG and WWZ is vague. It mentions that zombie movies or media were made at some point but it is heavily implied it is not as famous as OTL. Meaning, either Night of the Living Dead flopped in theaters which was replaced by a slasher movie craze in the 1980s, or that zombie games like Resident Evil and The House of the Dead wasn't well received so therefore no zombie media in the 21st century.

Batanes, Philippines. The cliffy terrain enabled Batanes to weather the war best. Any zombies that washed ashore on the small beaches were quickly dispatched by police and military snipers. During the war, the survivors of Batanes relied on aid provided by the ROC Air Force and later the U.S. and allies.

The stone houses of Batanes provided additional security from zombies and storms that hit this region of the Philippines. After the war, many houses in the Philippines began adapting stone structures. The downside is during earthquakes, these houses would be prone to collapse.

Israel also had one between the moderates and the ultranationalist who did not want the idea of inviting Arabs and Palestinians into their walled country. Then Pakistan and Iran also had a nuclear war in the midst of a zombie apocalypse! Russia also almost faced a Second Civil War when the Russian Army started mutinying before the hardliners crushed it.
Now that it has been given and analyzed the initial setting of WWZ is 2012-2013, the civil war in Syria and in Iraq was ongoing.

Theres a scene on the Novel when a A man recounts that his father did this to him. As a Palestinian kid, he was against their family going to Israel and went on a rant about how his parents could go and "be the yehud's whore" if they wanted and loudly declaring his intention to become an insurgent. His dad stares at him as he finishes his tirade, then pins him against the wall and yells at him until the next thing he knows, they're on their way to Israel and he's sobbing the whole way there.

In the time before the Redeker Plan reorganised the land west of the Rockies the Great Panic overtook California. With no organised fire and rescue services there was no one to combat the wildfire. Fire took out thousands of acres. This community is one example (among many) that was totally destroyed.
