The JS Izumo(DDH 183), flagship of the UN Pacific fleet, and the JS Kaga(DDH 184) on maneuvers near Okinawa, circa 2032. Helicopter carriers such as these are much better suited for the needs of the post war world then the American super carriers of old.
A US navy support ship struck by a JDAM bomb after a zombie outbreak claimed much of the ship's crew, circa 2015. Different tactics for dealing with infected vessels were later adopted since simply destroying them tended to release a hord of Zack into the ocean.
Then we could also see the use of the U.S. Navy's America-class, Tarawa-class, and Wasp-class amphibious assault carriers. CVNs would probably be used more of a command-and-control and air support ship since amphibious assault ships would enable faster delivery of troops and equipment.
I'd imagine it'd be a nightmare to deal with compromised vessels. Perhaps a change of tactics such as using the Mk. 18 carbine, shotguns, and full body armor.
So, what do you think of what I did with Taiwan?
