Kei Nagase, former Osean Air Defence Force pilot (callsign "Edge") and veteran of the Wardog and later Razgriz squadrons of the Circum-Pacific War, during her retirement in the early 2010s. Exhausted from the wartime events, including the loss of some fellow wingmen (e.g. "Chopper"), Nagase showed signs of PTSD and decided to depart the OADF. She spent much of the early 2010s focusing on her newly attempted writing career. Curiously, her whereabouts suddenly became unclear after roughly the midpoint of the decade. Little was known what had happened to her. After the events of the Lighthouse War in 2019, surprising new information on Nagase's whereabouts finally surfaced. One of the first people to learn of the info after the war was Nagase's younger step-sister Rumi, an Osean film and TV actress.

Nagase also appeared in the form of a fictionalised version of herself in an installment of the long-running flight combat game series Conflict of Aces. Apparently, the real Nagase commented on the game interpretation of her, somewhat bemused, as "a little more timid than what I'm like usually, including during the 2010 CP war". This was one of her last major public statements before she vanished from public sight in the second half of the 2010s.

The Dreier Falken, one of the world's first mass-produced monoplane designs that became a military aircraft during the Osean War of the 1900s.
Invented in a pre-independence Ustio, but produced in greater numbers in Belka proper, the Falken served as part of the Belkan Air Force in the first two years of the Osean War. Though never equipped with a machine gun or missile of any kind, it is said the Falken was one the first aeroplanes used in practical aerial warfare. An omen of things to come in the following century...
The ADF-01 Falken designed by Gründer Industries, a late 20th century top secret advanced fighter design of Belka, was named in honour of this pioneering monoplane.

Traian Arpad Carolus Mano Ignatius Gabriel Zita Frigyes Justus Shilage, great-grandfather of celebrated fighter ace Mihaly Shilage.
Traian, from small, pre-annexation Shilage, was well-known as an unlikely patron of scientific research and geographic exploration during the late 19th and early 20th century. He himself became a well-known and celebrated polar explorer, and is immortalised in world history as the first man to reach the South Pole, as part of his successful expedition to Antarctia. Traian's own son, Moric, became one of the first fighter aces in Usean history, once the Erusea-aligned Shilage joined the Osean War of the early 1900s. This started the long-lasting air force enrollment tradition in the House of Shilage. Mihaly Shilage is often said to be almost a reincarnation of his great-grandfather in terms of looks, and his grandfather in terms of fighter pilot skill.

An Emmerian KM-class ekranoplan, the RENS William Calhoun. The William Calhoun was scrapped after it’s port wing was sheared off colliding with the OFS Kestrel in 2004. It’s sister ekranoplan, the RENS King’s Bridge is still in service and is planned to be retired in 2035.

The Osean War was a true milestone in the history of Strangereal aviation, marking not only the birth of practical military aviation, but also great innovation in many basic concepts of aerial warfare. One of the more audacious concepts was the combining of existing biplane technology and rigid airship technology, leading to the creation of the first "aero-carriers" in history.
Though rigid airships are no longer used as airborne aircraft carriers in Strangereal, their legacy lives on in several of the larger air forces around the world. As rare as modern jet-powered aero-carriers are, they still play a role in the various aerial power plays of Strangereal's continental powers.

Half-Life is an Osean video game made in 1998. You play as Theoretical Physicist Gordon Freeman. You fight against hostile Xen aliens and the Osean Federation Marine Corps’ Hazardous Environment Combat Unit. It’s 2 official PC expansions are Opposing Force and Blue Shift. In Opposing Force, you play as Corporal Adrien Shephard (who is named after a real Osean Commander, General Adrian Shepherd). You fight against Xen, and 2 new factions, the Osean Intelligence Agency, and Race X. In Blue Shift, you play as Barney Calhoun, who would later reappear in Half-Life 2.
So since this doesn't tell us anything about the world, would parts of the planet do somewhat better during the 7 hour war? At least enough to make it 8 hours? Stonehenge should at least get a few shots off before being destroyed. Where would Black Mesa and City 17 be? Shit, what's Larry Foulke and Mobius 1 doing during all this?

I don’t know if Strangereal!VALVe would really care about Pixy or Mobius 1. City 17 would probably be Yuke, Stovie, or even Ustian. Black Mesa is now near the Perbla or Sapin border, Stonehenge would be heavily damaged, if not destroyed, by the Combine.
