James Camerons Spider-Man, released in 1994 by Carolco Pictures. The film received mixed ratings and reviews at first, many complaining about the dark and grittiness of the film (Including a sex scene on the Brooklyn Bridge, and the occasional F-bomb), but overtime, many fans have grown to accept it.

Lance Henriksen as the films villain Carlos Strand, a criminal turned multi millionaire with electricity based powers. Many have made comparisons between his performance and the mannerisms of Donald Trump, though Henriksen denied this for many years, though eventually admitting to it.

R. Lee Ermey as the news pundit J Jonah Jamerson, whom Strand attempts to bribe to orchestrate a smear campaign against Spider-Man. R. Lee Ermey modelled his performance off of Bill O'Reilly.

The controversial 39th Prime Minister of Japan Inejiro Asanuma of the Japanese Socialist Party, elected in 1964 (Showa 39). He would be known for his mending of ties with China, even formally apologising to the Chinese for the horrors committed during the Second Sino-Japanese War on December 13th, 1966 (Showa 41), which would anger many of the Nationalist forces within the nation, many even arguing that December 13th, 1966 was the unofficial start of the Japanese Civil War (Showa 42 - 46).

I really enjoy this. But why create a new millionaire megalomaniac villain for Spidey? Henriksen is perfect for Norman Osborne and you could still have Sandman as his henchman. Eventually in the third film or so he becomes Green Goblin. Otherwise love your casting choices.

A scene from the 1966 joint production Batman Vs Godzilla. The film would help boosts both Batman's popularity in the East and Godzilla's popularity in the West.

Batman would receive multiple Japan exclusive films and TV Shows, including an anime series (Seen above) and a live action film starring Hiroyuki Sanada as the seasoned Japanese American billionaire and armoured, crime fighting vigilante Bantarou Wayne.

Besides from receiving a live action TV series (Lasting from 1967-1976 and primarily using stock footage from the already existing Godzilla films) Godzilla would also receive the occasional blockbuster film, including one in 1994.

The Joker(s), Two Face, and Riddler

The role for Joker in Batman Begins initially went to Jack Nicholson, but when Nicholson lost interest in the project Carrey (the runner up) got the part.

Willem Dafoe as the Joker in the gripping Batman live-action series, Caped Crusader (1990-1998).

Both Dafoe and Carrey would be hailed by fans as the best Jokers (often times there are arguments between Carrey fans and Dafoe fans as to who is the better Joker, who is the definitive Joker). Later on, Tim Curry would join Carrey and Dafoe as one of the most popular and recognisable Jokers by lending his voice to the Clown Prince of Crime in Batman the Animated Series (2005-2011).

Four years later in 2002, Williams would take up the persona of Harvey Dent and Two Face once more in Tim Burton’s Batman Forever and teamed up with the Riddler (played by Robin Williams). The villainous duo would go up against Batman (played by Michael Keaton) and Catwoman (played by Michelle Pfeiffer).

The movie will star Ben Affleck as Batman, a first for him, and Willem Dafoe returning as the titular character, the Joker – the film is also going to be the origin story of the Joker put to the silver screen.

Amidst the completion of the Deng Xiaoping-style Pavlov economic reforms in the early 1990s, calls for independence and democracy sprung up across the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Soviet Premier Valentin Pavlov, under pressure from the hardliners of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), declared martial law across the union. The independence movements in the Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Belorussian, and Ukrainian SSRs were quickly and totally crushed. Independence movements in all the Central Asian SSRs were crushed as well.
