Hepburn: a bodybuilt legacy
While, unlike what many believe, Audrey Hepburn wasn't strictly the first female bodybuilder (that honor might go to Abbye "Pudgy" Stockon and similarly notable forerunners), she and her legacy aren't less remarkable for it. The fact that this "first female bodybuilder" conception still persists to this day shows how ahead of her time she was.

A very young Audrey Hepburn in the 1930s, unknowing of the woman she would become.
Born in 1929, Audrey's passion for bodybuilding, weightlifting, etc began during the Dutch Famine and German Soviet Ocuppation in WWII. Both the rigors of the famine and supporting the dutch resistance left her in a gravelly ill state, to such a point she was on the verge of death more than once.

Some have wanted to attribut her passion to the trauma of the war, arguing that she got of it a psychological need to be strong and show it to the world as a defense mechanism. In Audrey's own words, it was her own mother who encouraged her to do small steps physical exercise and training for health purposes. That opened her to a whole new fascinating world: "Truth be told, my dreams at the time were to become a ballerina, or if that didn't work out, I don't know, even an actress."

Poster of Hepburn at a very early stage of her career.
Seeking to know more of this world, she travelled to America to discover the scene developing there, where she met (and learnt from as much as she could) both male and female famous figures of said world, including the aforementioned "Pudgy" Stockon. Audrey realized how underdeveloped and relatively obscure female bodybuilding, if it even existed, still was (in no small part due to society's expectations on women), and she set out to change that.

Thus, she stepped into the public eye. Public shows, TV Programmes, cameos in movies and serials and much more... Hepburn was like a meteorite in the american media landscape. Her muscularity (shocking and radical for the time), yuxtaposed to her beauty and gracious, sensitive charisma, made an striking impression on the public. Nationwide fame soon became worldwide. With this, Audrey practically kickstarted female bodybuilding, winning among others the first Ms. Olympia competition and in following editions being a major judge.

Another poster of her, years later, as a vanguardist, neo-futurist muse. The three FFF's mean "Forward, Fast, Forgiving", symbolizing the humanistic 1960s-70s reinterpretation of futurism as striving for a dynamic, strong yet compassionate mankind. A multifacetic woman, Audrey actively worked with artists from the new movements of her era.
Known are too her "dancing" spectacles, where making use of both dance tecniques and gymnastics, she elaborated dynamic dances that were on equal parts graceful and majestic, delicate and powerful, ethereal and imposing.

But her achievements go further than that. A sensitive, humanitarian woman, Audrey worked as well in UNICEF aid programmes and even field missions as a Goodwill Ambasador of Unicef. She travelled to conflictive zones such as Sudan, Zambezia and Zanj after the collapse of the Transafrican Association; Bolivia during it's Civil War; the Guinean Famine, etc. Not to mention her philanthropy, artistic collaborations and support of social causes back home.

Audrey as the superheroine Maxima in 1980s iconic explotaition film Maxima, strong-lady. A campy flick full of 80s charm, Ms. Hepburn, already a celebrity, had a lot of fun with it and would come back for the sequels. The money she earned from those films went to NGOs and philathropic causes.
Ms. Hepburn passed away last year, in 12th March 2022. She left behind an enormous legacy. She lived a life that she didn't expect for herself, yet she took it on stride and in the process became a global icon, even a role model for future generations of women. When asked if, in the case she had chosen another career, she could've conceived the little malnourished dutch girl growing into a celebrity strongwoman, she said:

Nothing is impossible. The word itself says it: I'm possible!

OOC: So... this my first post in this thread. I was trying AI art, and I like Audrey Hepburn, and I'm also interested in bodybuilding and similar stuff. So I had this bout of inspiration and started typing. Though I just realized now that I typed all prompts save from "bodybuilding". Anyway, I wrote this hagiography-in-all-but-name of this alternate Hepburn with guns. Save from the black and white photos, all pics have been made with Lexica Art. Hope this is a good contribution to the thread.

She still a genius. Did she invent anything in this TL?
She kickstarted female bodybuilding in it's professional competitive form rather earlier than IOTL. OTL it is considered to begin in the late 1970s. ITTL it began in the 1950s-1960s.

She also created and/or innovated many exercises, features, etc, of not only bodybuilding, but also gymnastics, weightlifting, etc. But she didn't invent a machine or something like that.

On June 25th, 2011, making it's approach to Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, American Airlines Flight 440 seemed to have a clear runway. Making its approach at 5:47 in the morning, it was barely light out, and the runway seemed to be clear. However, there was one occupant. Dictated by Russian law from confirming the classified aircraft's presence, Moscow's tower could only watch in horror and call to the passenger plane as the Boeing 747 descended on the aircraft, the camouflage of the aircraft concealing it from a distance. As the Russian single-seat fighter began it's takeoff, the pilots saw the engine flare of the afterburner, a fortunate occurrence that day, as the pilot was training the rapid takeoff ability of his aircraft. They began to slowly pull up, receiving word at that time to abort the landing and go around. The pilot of the Russian aircraft noticed them at that time and began to accelerate off the runway, in an attempt to prevent a detailed observation by the American Aircraft. Russian military pilots in 2011 had a no-contact procedure with passenger aircraft and the pilot could not confirm his presence at all, even to explain that he was there. As he accelerated away from AAL440, he missed the Boeing by about 20 meters as he banked to the right, avoiding an air collision that not only would have brought down a civilian airliner, but also the final test model of the Su-57, Russia's first 5th Generation stealth fighter.

The occupants of the aircraft were taken into custody by Russian military police as they deboarded, interrogated on their knowledge of the new plane, and a background check run before they were let go. Both pilots of the aircraft were United States Air Force veterans, and they both reported back the presence of the new aircraft to US authorities upon their return. On July 4th, as a nod to the US Independence day, four Su-57 aircraft, slightly different from the one seen on June 25th (chiefly the engine assembly using a different engine), paraded over Red Square flying in colored smoke the Red-Blue-White of the Russian flag. The Russian government announced the new aircraft later that day, revealing it to the world.

German Soviet? I'm a bit confused here.
A german communist regime that uses a soviet-esque system. Kind of like the Hungarian Soviet Republic. Basically, TTL had already diverged in some way from ours before Audrey's lifetime.

Audrey suffering near death experiences and her mother getting her into physical exercise are not so much PODs as they are butterfly effects from some unspecified POD in the past. It also gives a bit of leeway as to why this Audrey Hepburn seems to be more extroverted and open to public attention than IOTL (though that might be a consequence of taking a different path in life either), and as to how she doesn't seem to suffer as much sequels from the famine despite having had it worse than her OTL self. This Audrey might've already been slightly different from the one we know, though basically still the same person until the moment she takes on doing pushups.

Thanks for clarifying.

Kurt Cobain's 1999 appearance live on Fox News following the Columbine Bombing massacre, arguing with commentator Bill O'Riley over the theory that metal music and violent video games were responsible. The shouting match becomes a major pull on nightly talkshows, despite its numerous expletives.
