General Larry Alan Thorne (1919 - 1998) in 1983. In 1987, 3 years after the end of a nuclear war, he would go on to stage a coup, where his sanity would slowly start to dwindle before being thrown out of an E-4 Nightwatch to his death by the Secret Service.

Seen above is a screenshot from the opening credits of Matt Stone and Trey Parkers Squirrel and Hedgehog (2015), which in turn was taken from the original North Korean series, the film being a jab at the dictatorship and war in general, telling the story of a war between Flower Hill (North Korea) and their southern neighbours, the Weasel Empire (South Korea), whom are swiftly joined by the Wolves (The United States of America).
The film was well received by audiences despite featuring an R rating, mainly due to the film featuring explicit violence, sex scenes, swearing and drug abuse among other things.

Maria Carydias - a famous Egyptian actress of Greek-Italian origin.

On June 12, 1597, the Spanish Monarchy conquered Egypt - effectively making it their last conquest in Africa (de jure it is the Kingdom of Tripolitania, which belonged to the Hospitallers until 1600). After the bourgeois revolution in the 1780s, the Egyptian state was declared a protectorate of Italy, but gained de facto independence after the 1810s (as the Egyptian Republic). The result of colonization was an influx of migrants from Europe - but not as large as in Mauretania and Algeria. The modern Egyptian language is full of borrowings from Spanish and Italian, but is still close to Arabic. A significant part of the population - Catholic Christians and Copts.

I've heard about a Red Dawn+ timeline but it seems lost to the internet.

Honestly it would be interesting and awesome to see such a timeline. Not just from the whole Soviet invasion of America and Cold War gone hot angle but also too see how the world would be changed by such a conflict.

Calling @Matt Wiser Your up! loL

I take it that Spain did not have a good time in conquering and colonizing the New World compared to OTL, right?

It really depends on the Timeline - there are two in which this happens. In "Victory at Bosworth" Spain is late in the New World, and its colonies are really not that vast. But they more than compensated for this with conquests in Africa and Asia. (Note - until December 1642 the Philippines belonged to Spain, while until 1630 Morocco belonged to the Portuguese).

In Plus ultra, the situation is different - the heir to the Portuguese throne, Afonso, does not die and still becomes involved in managing the inheritance of his wife. As a result, in 1504 the Castilian-Portuguese union was concluded, and in 1516 Aragorn and Naples joined it. Before that, the members of the union already had both possessions in Africa and possessions in America. As a result, the Avis Power only increased its colonial pressure.

Billy Dee Williams and Robert Carradine as Roger Murtaugh (Williams) and Martin Riggs (Carradine) in 1987's Lethal Weapon. Written by Shane Black and directed by Richard Donner, the film in considered one of the best buddy cop movies of all time, spawning three sequels and a TV show in 2016. Carradine reportedly auditioned for the film so he wouldn't be stuck doing the sequel to Revenge of the Nerds. Fun fact: Billy Dee Williams was only 48 years old when he said the famous, "I'm too old for this shit." line.

A newly recovered photograph of the Howling Commandos, perhaps the most legendary battalion in WW2 Europe. Led by the superhuman Captain Steve Rogers (left), who was more famously known as "Captain America", the Commandos tore through Nazi Germany, quickly taking town after town.

The success of Project Rebirth (which enhanced Rogers' strength) led to the creation of several other superhumans to aid the Allies during WW2, but the program was discontinued in the early days of the Cold War to prevent Soviet interference. Despite this, the USSR attempted to make their own, in the form of Alexei Shostakov, the Red Guardian.

It is rumored that Rogers' most famous weapon, a shield which he would carry into every battle he fought, is made of an alloy stronger than steel and able to repulse any form of vibration. The mechanism by which this works is still unknown to science.

Weapon Of Choice (1970): Based on the Ian Fleming novel of the same name, this was the second and final film of George Lazenby's turn as James Bond. The film centered around Bond and a team of CIA agents (Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus) infiltrating the castle of a mad scientist. The original novel, like many of Flemming's other works, was based on a his work as a spy during WWII.

The flaming wreckage of the LZ 129 Hindenburg.

On May 6, 1937, the LZ 129 Hindenburg, having safely docked in Manchester Township, New Jersey, was targeted in a terrorist attack by the Anarchists of the Black Cross (ABC).

The airship was due to carry important passengers the next day, including John D. Rockefeller, Jr. However, that same evening, a bomb would be detonated within the Hindenburg, destroying it and killing 2 people.

This incident proved to be the final straw for the airship, as public confidence in dirigible travel swiftly plummeted in the weeks after the attack, leading to the end of the airship era.

The presidential box at Ford's Theater, where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.

On April 14, 1865, in co-ordination with attacks on William H. Seward, US Secretary of State, and Andrew Johnson, US Vice President, and as part of a conspiracy led by former Shakespearean actor John Wilkes Booth, an unnamed assassin shot US President Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theater. The President would die hours after the incident. It is speculated that, had it not been for the presence of Shakespearean actress Juliet Shakesman at the scene, the assassin would have killed General Ulysses S. Grant, who was sitting beside Lincoln.

NOTES
Based off of Timeless S1E1 "Pilot" and S1E2 "The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln".

The ABC did not actually attack the Hindenburg, but was used as a disguise by 3 time-travellers (Lucy Preston / Wyatt Logan / Rufus Carlin) to prevent the airship from lifting off, allowing them to try and foil a plot to detonate the Hindenburg and kill various important people in history.

Juliet Shakesman is an alias of Lucy Preston, allowing her to get close to the President while Wyatt and Rufus tackled the other two plots against Seward and Johnson.

Both the assassination and the destruction of the Hindenburg are linked to one man, Flynn Garcia, who had gone on a lone destructive mission to kill off the secret society "Rittenhouse", who had targeted his wife and daughter.

Kurt Cobain and Robin Williams, circa 1997: After a failed suicide attempt in 1994, Kurt Cobain would check himself into rehab for heroin addiction. Williams would serve as Cobain's sponsor and the two would become close friends as result. Williams was reportedly one of the first people Cobain spoke to after his divorce from Courtney Love was finalized in 1996.
