Aitchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Pacific #3433 pauses at Santa Fe Union Station. Despite being one of the namesake cities, the Santa Fe nearly circumvented this city due to difficulty entering it. That is until in 1877 scouts discovered that the city could be reached if the line made a less direct route from Glorieta. In addition, the ATSF also interchanged with the Rio Grande's Chili Line here, which itself was converted from narrow to standard gauge in the 1930s.

Standard Uniform of a Soldier in the
American Armed Forces, beginning in 1939. The revised helmets are made stronger by adding more layers of metal alloy on the forehead section. It is said that the helmet is enough to withstand 2 sniper bullets to the head. Some variants are designed with a retractable visor to protect their eyes from bright lights or flash bangs.

The M1939 Sprayer Submachine Gun is the main SMG deployed by the Americans during the Great Patriotic War. Soldiers prefer its reliability and generally compact size. It was able to adopt either a drum or a stick magazine. It would be deployed in large numbers to the regular army and the fast moving Shock Marines, the most elite force in the AAF. It continued to see use until 1957, when it was replaced with the M1957 Patton SMG

M1935 Walker Pistol, the standard issue side arm of the American Armed Forces. Due to its small size, it was easy to conceal in a simple coat or in a secret holster. It was the best friend of the Shock Marines, Airborne Corps and simple Officers, because it was reliable and easy to reload. On some variants, a silencer can be fitted to increase stealth capabilities.

The M10 Greyhound Assault Car was the main armored car used by the Americans during the GPW. It is fitted with a small 37mm M6 gun, suited for taking out trucks and cars, and a secondary Browning .50 caliber machine gun on the top of the turret. A .30 Caliber machine gun was fitted in the forward hull in a mantlet. It debuted in 1942 and would be used until 1960 due to its very cheap price. It was replaced by the M11 Wolf Assault Car.

An Imported Panzer IV (left) and an M9 Hummingbird Assault Car. The Hummingbird was the predecessor of the Greyhound, and was used from 1939-1942 when it was replaced with the M10. Soldiers complained about the M9 being cramped and under armored, which was true in their respects. The M10 answered most complaints of the M9. Minor countries continue to use this vehicle even into the 1980s, when it is finally outclassed.

The first P80s were deployed in 1944 over the Soviet Union, and were effective in taking down bombers and propeller based aircraft. It was able to outrun a Gloster Meteor as well. It was fitted with 20 RAM rockets and 2 bombs in the bay. It would be gradually developed into the P84 Daredevil.

. Operation Ranger was an attempt by Britain to retake Pas De Calais, extract as many resources as possible, and withdraw. These desperate raids for resources became so dangerous that command discouraged launching them except in very dire moments. What remained of the Royal Navy and a disorganized group of Fusiliers, Recruits and Veterans were gathered and partook in this Operation. This was the last time Britain would step foot on foreign soil, as they now focused on their mainland.

Irish Defence Forces on the march to defend the beaches during Operation Bombardier. Fueled with the war crimes of the war, Douglas Hyde (President of Ireland) decided to enter to boost Allied morale. Note the Stahlhelms being worn by the soldiers. From 1939-1940, they were supplied with thousands of Stahlhelms for the IDF. This increased the chances of accidental friendly fire during combat. Around 70 Irish Soldiers were killed via friendly fire, usually from snipers. The only difference is a seal of the IDF placed in the forehead of the helmet for distinguishable purposes.

Soldiers of the
American Armed Forces

images - 2020-06-15T101351.491.jpeg

The "Vanilla" or the "Standard" type of troopers is the largest and most numerous type of soldier, and the most common one to be seen in the battlefield. This is the normal soldier that everyone knows about. A new recruit needs to be a military schoo graduate to be eligible for the recruitment process. Shown above are the uniforms for a scout (upper right) and the normal line man (lower right). Soldiers of this type are nicknamed "Ground Hogs", since most of the members here are not eligible Paratroopers or not qualified for the air.

images - 2020-06-17T054038.704.jpeg

The "Airborne Brigades" or the "Airborne Corps" are the Paratroopers of the American Armed Forces. As the name implies, the number of paratroopers in every air squadron would most likely be equal to a brigade, at minimum levels. The paratroopers are armed with lighter equipment to suit their camouflage capabilities when behind enemy lines. They are also armed with lighter weapons like the M1 Garand and the M4 Paratrooper SMG. This type of soldier is both part of the air force and the army, but most of the time it's the army that gets the recognition. To become eligible for this class, a recruit must have finished parachute training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

images - 2020-06-17T054841.626.jpeg

The Naval Infantry are Navy based soldiers. They are soldiers who serve as the Army's naval force uses in amphibious operations and during island hopping campaigns, typically on ships. Usually these soldiers would mostly be known for being anti aircraft gunners and lookout spotters on ships and aircraft carriers, but they also serve either on the ground or the air. Naval Infantry is also the term used to refer to pilots of the Naval Air Wing. To be eligible for this class, a recruit must have finished the naval academy first.

Uniform of a member of the Marine Corps. The Fascist Marine Corps was the amphibious element of both the army and navy. They are the ones who actually deploy on amphibious operations. The Marine Corps' uniforms are usually less bulky than the standard issue because of their speed and agility in combat. To become eligible for the FMC, a potential recruit must be a graduate of the Marine Amphibious School in Virginia.

images - 2020-06-17T062438.095.jpeg

The Shock Marines, officially "Marine Division #1" are the most elite force in the Military. They are trained out of hand picked individuals serving in the normal army or marine corps. The Shock Marines' uniform can vary, depending on the operation at hand. They are also indistinguishable from the either the FMC or the Ground Hogs, as they wear exactly the same uniform. The only distinguishable thing about them is usually their weaponry and sometimes oxygen masks for radiated areas. There is no exact requirement to be eligible for this class. A recruit has to work hard in either the Army or FMC, and he or she may be chosen to be part of the Shock Marines.

Not in this TL he actually becomes a double agent in the last days of the war as he sees what Hitler has been doing with his special “projects”. He ends of switching in the last’s days and helping the US. Also Hitler is found in bunker by a very very very angry undead Soviet NKVD agent and well...it doesn’t end well.

A photo from the Battle of Vladivostok, the first engagement between Americans and Soviets, and the first time America and Japan worked together. The German 800mm Gustav Railgun, the largest artillery piece made in history, firing at several Soviet positions during the Battle of Moscow. The Battle would become the deciding factor in the entire Eastern Front, with the Germans getting desperate because of the sheer winter, and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on the brink of being overthrowned by their rivals. The Germans would narrowly win, but at the cost of 950,000 soldiers, the most bloodiest battle in World War II and almost 100,000 more than Stalingrad, the second bloodiest.

Erich Hoepner's 4th Panzer Army achieves a major breakthrough against hastily assembled Soviet forces defending the town located north west of Moscow. This encirclement would begin the Siege, that lasted 3 weeks.

Earth 4678-Gamma is one of the more troubling worlds we’ve come across. We believe the structure pictured above was built by a previously unknown TransDimensional Actor called the Children of the New Sky. They make extensive use of occult forces to a degree we frankly didn’t realize was possible. Apparently their arrival has caused quite a stir among the Indian and Nordic dominated cultures on this parallel between people who welcome these the possibilities these world hoopers could bring and those that fear they are trying to conquer their world. Needless to say the arrival of Recon Team-43 hasn’t soothed nerves. We’ve got a powder keg waiting to go off and we haven’t got a clue what the Children are capable of if we get into conflict with them. I seriously think we need to bring this before the UNSC before things spiral out of hand.

Jets of the Axis and Allies
The Great Patriotic War

Axis Powers

images - 2020-06-19T140216.016.jpeg

The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed "Swallow", is the world's first operational fighter jet. It was first deployed in 1944 to the English Channel and over the Soviet Union, and would prove effective in taking down bombers and outrun propeller based aircraft. It was armed with 4 30mm Mk 108 cannons, which could take down a Bleinhelm with ease; and 24 R4M rockets. It was also able to carry 2 250kg bombs for bomb runs. It would be in service with the Luftwaffe until 1951, when it was replaced with the Me 265 "Jäger".

images - 2020-06-15T111100.308.jpeg

The P80 Lightning Striker is America's first jet fighter, and the second fighter of the Axis to be deployed in combat. It was developed in cooperation with Messerschmitt and Focke Wulf, which provided some armaments in early versions (in later variants, domestic weapons are placed). It was able to carry 20 RAM rockets and 2 M3 Browning Machine Guns. They were also purposed for carrying 2 1000 kg bombs. They were used until 1952 when they were developed into the P84 Daredevil.

images - 2020-06-19T141648.943.jpeg

It is notable that Italy never fielded any domestically made jet fighters until the late part of the war, but they did built 2 jet prototypes. The Caproni Campini N.1 was an Italian experimental aircraft built in the 1930s for, well, experimental purposes. It was slated to be produced for the Regia Aeronautica, Italy's Air Force, but was terminated following the death of test pilot Mario Sinatra and 7 other injuries during a fatal crash in 1942. The failure was purported to the unexpected shutdown of the powerplant and the failure to bring it back on. Italy would end up using imported Me 262s from Germany, until it developed the Re.2007 in 1945.

800px-Kikka_Orange_Blossom_Kikka-10.jpg

The Nakajima Kikka was Japan's first jet fighter. It was based on the Me 262's design and virtually had the same function. It would enter service on the last stages of the war. It was used in combat 5 times until the Treaty of Berlin was put into effect. It was put into service with the Imperial Japanese Navy on their aircraft carrier force during the last months of the War in China and the Invasion of India (via airfields). It was to remain in service until 1949, when it was replaced with the Kawasaki Ki 90.

Allied Powers

images - 2020-06-19T151756.448.jpeg

The Yak 15 "Feather" was the USSR'S first and only jet fighter deployed in combat. They used a reversed engineered German powerplant and was intended as a last ditch aircraft against the Axis Powers. They were used very briefly, only 3 times during the last weeks of the Eastern Front. Only 10 were built and flown in action. 5 were destroyed during takeoff due to strafing runs, 3 shot down in the air and 1 crashed beyond repair. The last remaining Yak 15 crashed and eventually repaired, and was brought back to Germany as a war trophy and for display at the Berlin War Museum. It is still there to this day.

images - 2020-06-19T152358.639.jpeg

The Gloster Meteor was Britain's first jet fighter and was the Allied Powers' most popular and effective jet. It was able to take on an Me 262, however it was slow when compared to a Lightning Striker
. Early and Mid war variants were the most successful. They were used in the Second Battle of Britain as an interceptor and a fighter. Late war variants were rushed and sometimes not even tested, which caused numerous casualties mid flight due to sudden malfunctions. 20 survived the war and are displayed currently in Washington, Berlin, Rome and Madrid respectively.

images - 2020-06-19T153040.011.jpeg

The Dassault Tempête (Storm) was France's only jet fighter. It was mostly cobbled together from Free France's remaining resources and stolen German powerplants from crashed 262s. They saw very brief combat over the English Channel and London, flown by French pilots. Only 4 were completed, with a further 16 unfinished productions. 2 were spared scrapping and are currently displayed in Berlin and Washington.

The Japanese Troubles
(1949-Today)
1592575497487.jpeg

Emperor Hirohito the both the last non communist emperor of Japan and the last leader of a United Japan even the northern People’s Empire, he is often seen as a near god like if not a god so much so that even Stalin knew that keeping Japan under control would be a lot easier with some form of the old government intact thus he would help to create what is now known as North Japan ruled under a people’s emperor. The state would be largely economic and a politically independent becoming much more of a eastern Yugoslavia than a soviet puppet state. Keeping modified forms of traditional Japan political and social culture it would avoid much of the troubles of the Republic of Japan to the south.

One of the first attacks by the “Japanese Home Army” a far right group hellbent on a reunited Japan and recreating the old Empire. They would enjoy large support by conservatives in the south after the American reforms. While the Japanese People’s Front would enjoy support from leftist in south and battle with home army some resulting in open gun fights in the street.
